Monkhouse. Bob Hope couldn't reassemble a Bren gun while blindfolded in under a minute (see Carry on Sergeant).

They all laughed at Monkhouse when he said he was going to be a comedian, they aren't laughing now!

Apparently he wasn't very funny in real life but worked hard at honing his craft

He's not my cup of tea to be honest, I suppose it depends on your sense of humour. See I find Tim Vine and Sean Lock to be very amusing as well
