I stopped by a friends office this morning for a brew in the city centre. I fancied a coffee and went to greggs. Sat outside greggs was a homeless man who on my way in asked for any spare change I literally had my wallet and no cash so it was a card payment.
I tell him I've got nothing and walk in greggs and join the cue and a guy in front was ranting telling me I should of kicked him for been so cheeky.
I just ignored him and got what I needed and went to pay. I got the homeless man a sausage roll and a brew pay and head outside. On the way out I heard the homeless man ask the other bloke for spare change.
Instantly he turned round and called him a scruffy cunt and told him to get a bath and a job and that if he wanted to eat he can eat off the floor that he sleeps on and threw half a sausage roll on the floor.
I was looking at the this bloke thinkin did he really just do that. It really offended me and got me a bit mad. I told him he was a dick and there was no need for that while secretly wanting to throat punch him
The guy was a collosul wanker saying to the homeless man look at this a ten grand Rolex my watch is worth more than everything u own. And I've early every penny
The homeless man turned round to him and said sorry to see that mate clearly talking like that your a very poor man although to you is everything to me it's nothing it just means I eat or I don't eat. Keep your fuckin watch sunshine just remember my grave will be the same size as yours.
Never in my life have I been lost for words but what he said stopped me dead.
Needless to say I gave the bloke his sausage roll and brew to which he said God bless mate and thank you for helping me.
Don't understand why some people judge off this invisible class line. We take everything for granted and some people judge. Im not looking for a pat on the back I'm not arsed it was 2 quid and it wasn't going to kill the bank so I did what I did but those words completely flattened the pompous prick with the Rolex!

Obviously the "rich" guy isn't that rich in values and respect. I bet he's really unhappy in his life. He has no compassion and integrity..nothing of true value.
The homeless dude is right.. Both graves will be the same..

It's not kindness Hun. It's my responsibility as a human being that's the way I see it. If people were just a bit nicer to each other the world would be a bit of a nicer place. I'm fortunate to have what I have and that guy didn't even have socks or a pillow to sleep on . PROPPER shit world we live in when there are still people living like that xx |

I agree that we have a responsibility to fellow humans. The rich guy was being awful but compassion is hardest to feel when someone is not obviously suffering and being horrible...maybe the rich guy had mental health problems or maybe he was just nasty piece of work, either way there were two men outside Greggs in need of a helping hand.
I would still have wanted to deck the rich man though.  |
