.

I take the pooch for bike rides in Savernake Forest when the weather is nice.

When I first heard the news, I had a bad feeling it would end madly, just not this badly.

RIP.

was just reading this .......

Prime Minister David Cameron is considering moving the clocks forward an hour all year round to give Britain permanent summer time.

But Mr Cameron said the plan – which would give longer evenings across the country – will only go ahead if the Scots and people in the north of England agree.

The Scots have always been against the idea because it would mean the sun not rising until 10am on some mornings, potentially risking more accidents on journeys to school or work. One MP from the far north of Scotland said that if English people wanted more daylight they should get up earlier.

However, tourism bosses say having British Summer Time throughout the year would bring the country into line with most of Europe , bringing more people here for holidays and boosting the leisure industry.

The idea was last trialled between 1968 and 1971, but with no clear benefits – and complaints from Scotland and Northern England – the test trial was abandoned.

A Bill to change the nation’s time is to be introduced this autumn, and Mr Cameron said it would be considered seriously. “I’ve followed this debate for many years in the 1990s. I think the argument will be won when people across the country feel comfortable with the change. It’s always been about the problems of getting to schools for children in the North of England and in Scotland.”

But he ruled out separate time zones for Scotland and the north of England.

“We are a United Kingdom. I want us to have a united time zone.”
