Well, it seems I'm not the only one that hate the charity chuggers. The annual Fundraising Standards Board Complaints Report recorded a total of 66,814 complaints.

It doesn't matter what you say to some of them, they can get proper rude. If you get even slightly annoyed with some of them, they hurl abuse after you as you walk away. I do give to charity, but I absolutely refuse to give these guys the time of day. |

They are like pigeons, if you feed them it helps them breed.
I give to charity but not ones who harass on the street. |

Tough isn't it, I've ran for charity before, and one of the fundraising Chiefs said that it's the most effective way to raise money on a regular basis, and if people aren't asked then they're less likely to give. |

If they are rude I complain to the local authorities. They need permits to collect. Complaints mean they won't get the permits.
They shouldn't be hassling anyone and they absolutely should not be rude. |

I give to who I choose to not who tries to pressure me.
Went in a local express convenience store recently and one had left his bucket on the shopping baskets while he stood next to it. I asked him to move it so I could get a basket. Strangely it was for something I believe in donating to but wouldn't in this instance. |

I also get quite fed up when the two charities I donate to via standing order ring me and ask me to increase the amount.
Of course I understand that its one of the best ways of raising money but it still annoys me. |
