Had a text from my supplier to say my internet allowance was running low and I show buy some more, thought that was a bit odd so I went on their website to check it my usage.
Out of my 1Gb allowance I had 731Mb left!
Wonder how they figured out I was running low when I had used so little. |

Because they were trying it on and didn't realise you were a bit more net savvy than a lot of customers who would have no idea how to check their usage stats.
Well done you. |

1Gb allowance I use more than that daily just on fab. Between our son and myself I'd guess we are downloading 12Gb of viewable material, tv, movies etc every day, before normal browsing of various sites and forums.
I do hope you are talking about mobile phone internet connectivity |

every time before when they sent me that text I just topped up the allowance without thinking about it - over the course of year I must have built up a lot of internet credit, but this text just seemed a bit out of place, so will check every time now |

Yes it's mobile phone, and I don't download so have never gone above the allowance - despite the amount of time I seem to spend on here lol |

I use an Orange dongle for when I'm away. I have to set my own parameters of when I want a reminder regards useage. Perhaps it was that and yours needs tweaking to a limit useage warning more suitable. Just a thought xx |

Orange are good re dongles - if I'm approaching limit they allow me to temporarily increase it and remove it at end of month so an extra fiver might get you the extra time you need till your next period. AS long as you keep the base agreed monthly price they are felxible re extra and try not to make you pay over the odds. Makes a change!!!! |

"i use a Three mobile PAYG dongle, get a text on it when i am down to 20% of whatever top up i last applied to it, and another when its down to 50mb or so"
Am with 3 as well but getting a reminder when got such high amount left seems odd, just had another text but still got 500Mb left, may just call them an ask why texts when so much credit left?....will phrase my question nicely and see if lucky enough to get a free month lol |

Lol yeh it's usually Mumbia, but saying a couple words in Hindi to them seems to makes more eager to please and they always called me back to check I was happy ( mind you not felt the need to call them in over a year ) |
