Most people are referred to by their usernames, not by their real names
Personally I don't mind either my username or real name

Well most know my name is karen, my middle name is louise. My maiden surname is unusual and spent the first 25 years of my life spelling it for everyone and then when i got married i ended up with one of the most common names in the world. And no it isnt singh |

Know your pain for that one. For some reason people insist that I can't spell my own name, and insist on adding a letter, which turns it into a girls name. Not to bad now, as I just laugh it off, but as a school kid it was a right pain, and a source of much amusement for everyone else when a new teacher got it wrong.
