today as I was wandering about with work as per usual, I was walking down the road chatting to a friend of mine on the phone (during work hours naughty I know) but because I was conversing in a foreign language, I was grabbed on the shoulder and had shouted at me "f*** off home. we voted you out, although we will probably have to pay for you to do it." My reply was swift and to the point, "it at most only cost 12 pounds for me to get home on the train, probably a bit more on the taxi..... but if you wait for me to finish at work I could probably drive myself" please at this point note that I am English white etc blah blah blah. to be honest I feel a little ashamed to to british right now.
to some up; people who shout at strangers are idiots.

I have pictures and I have verifications, just because I keep them to myself you think I have none?
my agenda is the same as everyone else on here, perhaps I am picky and want people to read my profile to show there are interested in me as a person, if there is no connection there is no point going at it in my opinion. |

Couldn't agree more I just feel there is worse to come. The out campaign ran on a racist basis no matter what they say. The are good reasons to be out as there were to stop in but some people take one topic and run with it. Unfortunately for most of these people it's the wrong topic. I will stop there as it's not Thursday which is the traditional rant day  |

I feel your pain. On Saturday I spent a train journey being accused of being a 'fucking faggott' presumably because I was in running kit.
This was at 8 in the morning and ended with the guy being arrested |

I get similar situation's happen to Me and most people don't think I can talk English because I'm Black.I'm Black British My grandparents came to England in the 1950's and the 1970's and My Parents met in England in the late 1970's and I was born in Salford the early 1980's and raised in Manchester.People tell Me to go back to Africa I remind the idiot's if Slavery didn't happen they'd be no SLAVERY MUSEUM in Liverpool for government to make more money from us Black People and I would actually be at Home now in Africa.My Ancestors have more than paid taxes Trillion time's over being enslaved by the British Empire/Government and the Dooms Day Black Book was created when Obvious Slavery became Illegal.I'm Glad I'm renouncing My British Citizenship. |

Its happening a lot, that's why all the stories sound the same, people are just spewing hate around because they feel like it's their right to. I have a friend that works in the airedale hospital and she is Spanish that has had a patient tell her that she should go back to spain.... Its actually insane. I have been to my fair share and maybe more of job interviews and can honestly say I have never felt like jobs are being stolen, most people in this country are to lazy to just work, you have to start at the bottom, we all do. The work ethic is the issue, they should think about that before looking for a scapegoat. |

The reason I brush it aside is because there are a number of people exagerating and fabricating claims of racism on a swingers forum. If they feel that strongly they would report it to the police.
There are racists and there always will be. Some people just need to blame others.
But for someone to bring up slavery as an example is basically calling all British people racist. In that case we all need to think about the mass genocide we enacted in wiping out Neanderthals |

I went to the Black Slavery Museum in Liverpool and found some interesting information that I did not know. For example, it was the Portuguese that started the slave trade from Africa to the Americas. Furthermore, Britain was one of the first countries to abolish slavery in the early 1800s. Moreover, warring tribes in Africa particapted in it too, by selling their POWs to the Europeans. |

I have not said that. You have extrapolated that. I contend we are all racist to some degree. We all need to own our particular racism and strive to do and be better.
What is crap is dismissing people's experience of racism as having a chip on their shoulders or making too much of it - basically saying we should just suck it up. That's when I am tempted to reply Yes Massah because you miss how racism still affects whole parts of this nation. How it affects huge parts of America.
Slavery has been with us from the moment man realised he could subjugate other men to his will. We still have slavery today. It is still racial. It is still about class. It is still about some feeling entitled.

A large part of the issue isnt "taking jobs" it's the significant lowering of employment standards.
For instance say you work in a super market, in the past you do you 5 day week and then cause you need a bit of extra cash you offer to do an over time shift on the Sunday.
With it being over time or unsociable hours you're used to getting say time and a half ro compensate.
However now if you get a job in q supermarket for new employees pretty much non offer any overtime or unsociable rate.
That Sunday shift on top of your full week is just the same as your standard day rate.
And this is happening in other sectors too.
Its not that the jobs are gone it's just that the wages are now solid minimum and any benifits/bounties are gone now.
That can be a deep cut for people who are just starting work

I don't know if the original OP was telling the truth or not but I have no reason to believe it's not true; I've seen it for myself. Where I work there is a Polish girl who was upset at the result of the referendum on the Friday. A group of guys from the warehouse came in and saw she was upset, one of them said "you should be happy, you'll be going home soon". I've seen and heard other incidents recently to. I've never seen this level of overt racism before.
Quite frankly I find your attitude towards it, especially questioning the veracity of the OP, almost as disturbing and unacceptable as the racism itself. |

It's supply and demand, the eastern European countries provide a huge supply of cheap labour and thus the price/balue of that labour decreases |

You're right, under a points based system immigrants won't be working in Tesco stacking shelves or, more realistically picking fruit and veg in fields, those jobs will be filled by British worker. The immigrants will, under a points based system, be taking the better payed skilled jobs which it will always be cheaper for companies to higher a well trained foreign national to do rather than train a British worker to do. The great BREXIT solution to the British worker on immigration is:- get British workers to do the low paid jobs and bring in foreign nationals, at a lower rate than Brits/EU citizens get now, to do the more skilled, higher paid jobs.
I'm sure that will go down really well with people when it's properly explained to them.

It is supply and demand. And right now there is a high demand across both Britain and Europe for skilled workers, which is why companies have to pay a decent rate for skilled workers and train British workers up to do those jobs. Workers can sell their skills anywhere in Europe and companies can recruit the best person for the job from anywhere within Europe without let or hindrance. You want to replace this with a system that will disincentify companies from training British workers, instead filling their posts with cheaper, skilled foreign workers and, at the same time, remove British workers rights to find work in Europe. A double wammy on the British worker, brought to you by the thoughtful folk of BREXIT.
And make no mistake about it, points based immigration systems are designed to do just that. They are normally only introduced into countries that have quite severe skills shortages and require a lowering of pay levels in those areas of skill shortage to remain competitive. That's not the situation the UK is currently in. |
