Yes...he's done his job and did it effectively. I don't agree with how or what he said but achieved what he had set out to do....and as a result may have changed the face of British politics for the good. |

"Him and Johnson both prove to be utter cowards. Set the country on this course then jump ship, leaving others to clean up their mess. "
Dont agree. They have allowed space for those with the leadership and ambition for leadership to take on the mantle. They are still in the ship but supporting and advising which is what they do best in my opinion. |

Effectively? Took him 17 years, if I took that long on a project I'd be fired. |

Boris had the ambition, he bottled it. Farage had the ambition, he bottled it. Nothing but a bunch of cowards who also believed their chances of winning were so slim they don't know what to do next now as they never thought that far ahead. Good riddance to both. |

Does time really matter? Too many people expect instant change....have you seen how long it takes for somethings to change here on FAB . I applaud his persistence and doggedness.... He cannot be accused of being a quitter like a previous poster who said ...oh ' he's jumped ship'.
Too many are still caught up with looking for scapegoats to blame for not getting what they wanted....get over it guys...move on...pull together...We have voted to leave whether you like it or not. Let's make it happen or shut up and watch others do it. It's opened up our markets....weakened the pound a bit so well get new markets invest in us more now as well. There's a downside to a strong economy and strong currency and that is outside investors. |

He said ages ago he would, but then again he also said he would if he didn't win his seat in Kent, so I wasn't holding my breath.
Let's hope he actually honours his word this time. |

Regardless of his politics, he was a slimy, self-satisfied, arrogant, politician. People joke about how politicians are all like this, but he was exceptional. I'm not sure what difference his quitting will really make - I just hope I hear and see less of him on the news. |

You are forgetting something the conservatives said in there manifesto they would hold a referendum before they got elected, then said it would be in 2018, but Cameron went to the eu and came back with nothing so he called for the referendum in 2016 thought they would win, so when they lost they had no plan so he chucked his hand in so blame Cameron and the conservatives simple |

Take this news with a pinch of salt. I remember him saying he was stepping down after the general election as UKIP leader. This has probably been the longest handing in of a notice in history. |

He and Boris push for us to leave u lying their way through the campaign and then leave when they realise the complete mess they have helped to create.

Certainly was built without any viable plan and horrendous lies. No wonder Johnson didn't stand for the PM job. Both unable to be trusted and self-serving c#nts - the no guys who can't. |
