I've found some in these forums like to argue for the sake of it. Yeah we all have an opinion but unless it's constructive why bother even commenting? |

I can't respond to this without appearing to argue.  .
I'll just ask a question. Who gets to say what's constructive when it comes to arguing or discussion? |

If that happened, then rather than human chatter or banter.... the threads would constitute a self help forum. A bit like going for therapy.
Everyone is allowed voice. It's okay to disagree. One persons _iewpoint is not the only one.

I'm not saying everyone. Most are lovely including you all. It's just a couple of times I've posted a comment etc and found the reply to be argumentative.
Maybe it's because I need to toughen up a bit . |

I don't know how anyone would know anyone else's reason for arguing without asking.
It may seem like someone argues for the sake of it but that's only your perception. You don't really know why they do it or even if they consider it arguing.
Some people seem very sensitive to anyone disagreeing with them and see it as arguing. Some see what is basically debate as arguing. Some see anything they don't agree with as arguing.
People have different opinions on things. This is a place for discussion. Sometimes the discussion is between people with strong opinions or strong personalities. Sometimes it gets a bit heated. Sometimes people aren't particularly mature in discussions and get abusive. It's all par for the course.
This discussion board is better than many I've seen and used.
Those who don't like active discussion should probably avoid discussion boards. |
