During lunch yesterday I saw two fellas dressed as WW1 Tommie's in Bournemouth town centre. I'm happy to admit that a tear appeared in my eye. What a wonderful tribute to our fallen. I received a card with the name Lance Corporal George Bates , 21 of the Northumberland Regiment. Today I intend to buy a small black frame for it which I will proudly display in my home.

Ive seen pictures from round the country and they brought a tear to my eye, these men who gave their tomorrows for our todays should never be forgotten not ever, what a lovely thing to do buying a frame for the card, Lest we Forget xxx

A huge difference in attitude to some of the crass comments I heard last week from younger generations.

I have the utmost respect and sorrow for those that died a century ago
