everything have cooked in it haas been great and no need to preheat the oven.
Drawbacks, I got a 12 litre version, far too big for single guy, and takes up a lot of counter space but hey ho I like it.
Now all I need is to figure out how to work the prressure cooker - the instrucions are scary!! |

I love my halogen oven because I am on my own and think its great for cooking for one - uses a third of the conventional oven wattage. It makes the most gorgeous tuna melts in an instant. Rib eye steaks and roast potatoes and veg all in one pot - brill!! Don't heat it up for ten mins though 5 will do xxx |

Ill start you off with tuna melts. Turn oven up full whack and place high tray in. Tiger bread sliced 3/4 inch thick. Mix some tuna with mayo but not as sloppy as for a tuna mayo sandwich. Dash vinegar. Pile on the bread then grate cheese on top. Try that mexicana cheese with chillies in it place on the rack and cook till just turning brown, lift lid and add dash worcestershire sauce cook till brown and bubbling and devour!!! |

"ive seen those on the shopping chanels, so would u guys recommend em then?
They look a bit of a faff to clean??
xxx"
All I can say is full english breakfast. Sausages on the bottom, with mushrooms, low tray with tomatoes and blackpudden on it.High tray with bacon on it. Cooked altogether no turning no poking no touching. Watch and serve. Just the eggs on the stove.
Fill the oven with soapy water and it cleans as you eat. rinse it out and dry.
Now think grill pan and frying pan and another pan.... |

I got mine from shopping channel and got an extension ring. I took out extended warranty cost £9.99 - 2 years on top of manufacturers guarantee. I had it for 14 months and the micro switch on the lid went hitty missy, they collected the old one and delivered a new one in 5 days. One handy thing is full hand oven gloves buy those from shopping channel too. You can lift stuff out better than with the tongs. |

Nope, she hasnt even got the original box it came in so is on the hunt for another one but I think a much better make, why she doesnt spend the money on getting either her cooker fixed or a new one is beyond me |

"When I am on my own, I use the microwave combi oven instead of the big oven, along with the gas hob. "
I have one of those too pearl but I find if I have something cooking in it conventionally and need the microwave function mid prep its a bit of a pain. I use my ovens when I am preparing for a hoard but for single dwellers and twosomes the halogen saves lots of money on fuel, which is a big incentive to use it. |
