Terrifying Phobias

Another thread has inspired this and although its setting my teeth on edge thinking about it Pearly Kings and Queens are a massive phobia for me. I am really scared when I see them.Its the buttons I imagine crunching them in my teeth. OMG Im gonna faint.
Also anthropomorphism - anything like an animal or other object having human characteristics. Toad of Toad Hall plays freak me out and Jack Frost too.
Whats your truly palm sweating fear?  |

snakes for me and it not just an irrational fear when i was 14 at the youth club one night one of the boys offered me a cigarette even tho he knew i didnt smoke and a small corn snake crawled out of the packet .....i fainted....i cant even say the word i always have to spell it out ESS ENN AY KAY EE!! i managed to type it Ok tho !!! |

for the last 3yrs mine has been going out the house
im actually on medication and occasionally make it out but not as much as id like, im not some crazed up off his nut loon or that ive just been a little lost for a while
but theres been some nice people on here that understand and things are looking better
onward and upward  |

I don't actually mind heights
I have been up in a hot air ballon and leaned right over the side
What I do hate thou is if I can see somthing going ta ground
IE if I'm in Blackpool tower I can look perfectly well at the view
But if I look through the glass floor at the tower leg going ta the ground I feel sick xx |

Snakes....big big thing with me.
Saw some site with a news story about a guy living in a block of flats who found a huge python curled up in his toilet. It had come through the drains from another flat.
Using the loo has never been the same since.
Actually have pictures of me, scrambling unto on a shared table at a dinner thing in Egypt trying to get away from some idiot snake charmer who decided I should touch his stupid snake. Fool!
(And no I don't mean that type of snake.)
Have you noticed how evil they look, with thier beady eyes and horrible tongues...makes me shudder.
Awful, vile...urgh!

agreed! would never do that. or be a miner. policeman. never go on planes. never went to a nightclub until i was 34!. it effects me big time |

any flying bugs. The low buzz absolutely terrifys me. And moths too. I come out in big welts. I'm getting better, trying to overcome it, but it will take time.
Mr Stickys is spiders, but he is getting gradually better. |

The foil 1's dont upset me as much.
But the rubber 1's....they can burst, the static electricy, that noise they can make, the smell, everything about them. |

For me its snakes can't stand them, cant evven sathc them on TV or look at a picture of one
A drag act in a local WMC once chased me all the way out the building into the street, with her python, because one of my so called mates at the time told her i am really scared of snakes,
and i am not talking about the python that may or may not have been in her panties, that could have been a very different matter |

no phobia's here..i used to dislike spiders, however i saw one crawling towards my bambino when she was a baby and had to 'rescue' her from it. Since then ive been fine with them |

thats a shame as tha 1920s i think it is wooden roller coaster (if its still there) at Southport is really great, saying that i dislike being spun around so waltzers or anything similar are out for me

I am terrified of flying, even waiting to get on.. now I have flown but it has me truly terrified.
I once refused to do the return flight home... Parents had to take the ferry.

I dont like wasps or spiders but it doesnt "terrify" me
I dont like heights but will fly....go figure.
But i wont look out the window. so fool myself into believing im somewhere else.
I always have a fear of falling ...a big drop. shudders..... |

You get far more alarming sights than that at the Bigg Market!!! My pearly queen phobia came out on another thread about the royal wedding. I said I hope the roving reporters don't go around the streets of London on the big day interviewing pearly kings and queens rolling out the barrel.... |

Needles and injections.
But i am working on it as i want to get my nipples and clit pierced.Have got to the stage where i can watch injections without feeling sick and recently sat next to someone whilst they were having needles used on them(didn;t watch,did crush her hand) |
