"Some people have too many ???, and are replacing !!! with them!! What is that about??? "

Sometimes there is not enough room for all the ???'s you need when other times !!!! is the only sufficient answer

That's because a lot of people access fab on their smartphones, then try and use the emojis on their phone, which end up as ?? .... rather than the fab emojis which are the only ones that work on here

Thank you for that explanation. I couldn't work out why people were sticking question marks on statements with no question, implied or explicit, in them. I thought it was because of the increasing tendency to have a questioning rising inflection at the end of sentences.

No, no. They are our North Eastern friends.

I shall finish this with a rising inflection?

(And a round of the Blaydon Races).

And I know I shouldn't start a sentence with an "and" but I couldn't resist.

May I toss in some a handful of 'e's to go on the end of the non that should be none?

We can swap them for the extra 'o' found in lose.

Incorrect grammar can be dangerous. For example:

Let's eat Grandad.

Let's eat, Grandad.

That's how I lost my Grandad. Bloody comma!

I don't think you can type a pronunciation or dialect, it's usually more an abbreviation of a word.

I agree - if they're certain about something, I'd prefer to know this, rather than be left uncertain.

And I like restraint from use of multiple overdone punctuation. I'm not perfect but it's like an example of where less is more!!!

Well said, in a grammar deficient way. Who needs ... grammar anyway?

The obvious lack of support for this thread proves it's worth doesn't it?

And for the record, a sentence can begin with "And". But using the same word twice in that sentence must be frowned upon.
