Wow, it happened 34 years ago! I was the same age as my eldest son is now and remember it well.

What do you think your kids will remember in 30 odd years from now?

One of the children will definitely remember that he decided to support Iceland and that they beat Eng-er-lahnd.

The other two seem oblivious to the world at the moment and I can't even get them to remember things from 30 days ago.

The thing that I always wonder about is the total sensory overload these days you know? TV, internet, apps, social media.... Will the kids remember any of it amongst the plethora of stimuli?

I wonder about that too. They do seem to remember every short cut for Minecraft and the story lines for every Anime film in the world but things we did last week haven't stuck.

With the most boring man on earth. Yet, when he does a meet and greet you have to queue up from 5am to get in to see him.

His second goal in that game was a thing of beauty. The best player I've ever seen,he single handedly won Argentina the world cup that year

He has rather a huge dislike of England, since we shot his mate for trespassing on the Falklands. Apparently that is why he cheated in the world cup.

nr chester

I often say to my little ones that will remember this when they grow up, I think they have loads that will become the history they will talk about, but personal to us, Andy Murray winning Wimbledon, it was a red hot day and I managed to get them really excited about it, we had the windows open and when he won, we could hear the whole street cheering, the Olympic torch passing through, we waited for hours but we were right at the front and it was a brilliant atmosphere, the olympics in London, same reason as Andy Murray, Prince George being born, as I was cooking waiting for them to bring him out of the hosp and the kids kept shouting me everytime a door opened incase it was them , you know really there are so many things, we try really hard to get them interested and make a big deal of things because, we want them to be able to say when they grow up, where were you when....... Or do you remember when.......... Mrs blue eyes
