Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

He's on my doorstep.

He's so large I had to take a big stretch to step over him.

I think it's all the plant food people add. We're getting genetically modified slugs.

"They like salt. xxx"

The first time I was on antidepressants I kept seeing a slug in the kitchen in the middle of the night. My sister thought I was hallucinating.

One night I salted my hallucination and left the resultant puddle for her to clean up.

Not had a harsh enough winter to kill the buggers off.

It's like an invasion in my garden. And I pick them off the plants by hand

OP... I'm imagining a slug the size of a cat.

I never knew slugs can climb pebble dashed walls. But they can.

The Tantric Tea Shop

Many years back I had a partner, who would go out at night with a torch check the garden plants and crush slugs with her fingers

I would not let her touch me until she had scrubbed her hands....and even then

It was just a tad smaller than a big mouse/small rat. It was HUGE like something you might get in tropical climes.

I've just had my kitchen painted and found a slug trail winding over one of the walls. It must have come up from a tiny gap between the flooring and the skirting. I put a ring of salt around my house; I won't be pestered by slugs or demons now

Ah it's a tuff one, we get soooo many and they come in the house and to be fair I'm not too keen, but I've had a hedgehog for a very, very long time with hedgehog babies and a mr hedgehog and people have always told me it's because we have slugs( it's the hedgehogs favourite food ) so if we get rid of the slugs the hedgehogs might move home, and we lurve the hedgehogs too much, so slugs it is. "Get chickens, they like slugs...."

Very true. Hedgehogs eat them too, and they are now an endangered species so slugs will get worse

I once had a piece of cooked mushroom in my hand that looked very much like a slug. I told my housemate I'd found a slug... then I ate it.

He nearly fainted.

Ignore me, I admire your sensitivity towards them, I often feel guilty if I put salt down...catching spiders is easy and you can release them but catching slugs takes ages

Most plant food is salt based, so they'd dislike it.

We're in a mess with them as mild winters kept them active and warm and damp weather till now has been boom time.
