....for you?
Today sums up this forum for me. This morning I read a thread called 'Peurile', this evening one called 'a question' by View. They couldn't be more different.
It's not just the subject matter, for me it's the very diverse attitudes, emotions, motivations and approach individual posters contribute.
It's like watching an unscripted opera being played out!
If your not careful these forums can become addictive. |

Know what you mean and agree... what makes me chuckle sometimes (and I include myself in this) when a reasonably serious comment is posted and its right next to an avatar with a pair of nude boobies or an erect cock.. it feels quite surreal sometimes but nonetheless entertaining |

I like the diversity of threads.. and the posters. OK they may be squabbles from time to time but there are also dignified apologies, making up, genuine misunderstandings..and very respectful acceptance.
I left the forum last night after 3 posts on the 'P' thread as you just knew it was going to go where it went.
Hey.. we can't all agree at times but its the way people deal with it all, that is the measure of them.
I have often formed opinions of people from their posts and not always got it right.
But I pop my hands up

I really enjoy these forums. I have always enjoyed debate but this is the only place I can talk frankly about my sexuality and this very naughty hobby that we have. |

The only thing to remember is it ceases to exist the second you go offline and it begins only when you sign on again.
Anything else that went on or was written in your absense was their experience. Think about it too deeply it does your head in with things like is this just working because its circuits responding to certain key strikes. Its a type of cyber 'if that tree falls in the woods and theres nobody around to hear it' thing..... |

I find the forums a good reflection of society. People from all walks of life with all sorts of experiences post on here and as much as I love the sexual banter I also find it to be a great source of information on some of the more serious aspects of life. |

I am a self-confessed forums addict!
I may not be one of the kings and queens in terms of post count, however, I believe I qualify as one of the minor princesses!
I participate in this and other boards, have done so since Aug 2001.
For me, forums are places to hang out, have a bit of fun and banter with various people, some of which I would get on with and become firm friends, whereas some I would avoid like a plaque.
What I say in the forums I would say in real life face to face to people.
I don't hide behind the computer and have a alter online ego.
I try not to let any unpleasantries I encounter in the forums affect me. Luckily, they are far and between.
I shall continue to have fun and make friends on FAB until my life moves on to the next chapter, whenever that may be.

i've bought a ticket,to somewheresville.
full of excitement,and parties.
some where the sun,always shines.
some where, that leaves this life of drudgery, and boredom,
at the other end of the line.
some where forum free.

As far as im concerned, once you start attacking on a personal level, you lose the arguement.
I didnt find it at all amusing but im sure many did.
Sat tittering behind their computer screens.
That to me shows more about a person than any picture could . |

I was talking to a friend on here and we likened this forum to the matrix.
It seems like one thing on the surface but there is a lot going on below the surface and some of it is not so pleasant.
Sometimes I wish I had never been shown the other side of the matrix. Still, after seeing what goes on, I have chosen to be a surface dweller, no matter how artificial some of it is.
Ignorance is bliss! |

Unfortunately....
some show that ignorance in posting |

i dont like to thnk tto eeply baout the forums and the forumites that inhabit them lol
i post what i like to post, i like who i like, i dont like who i dont like etc
enough crap to contend with in real life - this is just somewhere i can come to have a laugh, perv on people, learn new things etc
i like the forums - you just need to learn those who like to cause problems and ignore them |

It's been a revelation....I'm addicted and find my hands going straight to the forum button before I've read my messages!!!
I've laughed and...well never cried to be fair.
Just join all the arguments, "cliques" and be as hypocritical as possible and you should be right as rain.
Gosh, even I'm convinced by that last statement...I feel a sudden influx of the warm and fuzzies.
A false of security is a wonderful thing. |

Some amused, some angered, some saddened, some shocked, some intrigued, some dismayed, some amazed.......I'm not sure what it tells you about the person behind the emotion, but I'm happy to know that there is emotion behind the computer screen and that that emotion is as diverse as the Forum itself. |
