I've only just discovered this and has become a bit of a fantasy for me. I'm not sure where this came from because I'm not a gamer or into stuff like game of thrones (I'm guessing this is where it originated from). I love the look of women in steampunk outfits. Anyone can shed any light or into it I'd be glad to hear about it |

I use a website in America that sells anazing heels,the sorta shit you can't buy here..I saw last year this steam punk bollox, not my kinda thing but it's cooky dorky & geeky or whatever the fuck the yanks call it |

Have a gander at Lincoln Steam punk festival in August...biggest in the World
You probably will struggle to get accommodation though....we book a year in advance...
A fun weekend but not a patch on Whitby Gotham weekend

It's been around a long time and there are annual events up and down the country. The Steampunk Asylum festival in Lincoln is the longest running steampunk festival in the world (it's a 4 day festival at the end of August and you need a wrist band for full access), but there are various free, smaller events around.
Facebook has lots of UK steampunk groups with lots of info about upcoming events and offer lots of advice on where to get hold of various bits and pieces.
My advice is shop around, be imaginative and create your own as much as possible so you're look is unique (if you go down the route of investing money). Charity shops and eBay are a great source of genuine vintage items.

I know...what a bummer eh.....
I will not be steamy but my normal clobber (black metal goth).. with the addition of lenses, guyliner and various silver trinkets....she 'may' be in her normal corsets n stuff but im turning her to the dark side (Newrocks etc)
Sat hi....we are also going to the Burlesque Saturday eve....

I love steampunk but it's all I can do to throw a pair of yoga pants on in a morning, it just takes too much effort to achieve the look.
Would wearing a tshirt of someone else dressed in steampunk suffice??
