Let's face it England never really set the tournament alive. Nil nil with Russia then a last minute winning goal in a scrappy game with Wales before a boring 0-0 with Slovakia.
So why be surprised by a lack luster performance against Iceland

I struggle to watch any England game.. I never get my hopes up or think that 'don't worry, opposition are rubbish, we can win this'
England have been dissapointing for number of years now, so I'm just used to it. |

It was laughable. The last time we were even half decent was 20 years ago. We weren't good enough then either.
Let's just accept that we are not too good at footy.
Great to see Wales and Northern Ireland at the tournament this time. I'll be cheering on the Welsh team until they get knocked out. |
