I'll be toasting all the shipmates that have passed and celebrating all the ones still serving. I just wish we were like the Americans when it comes to serving and ex service personnel as they truly respect them. |

I'm off to Portsmouth to meet up with some old army pals. Lunch followed by a visit to our regimental museum in Winchester followed by an evening chatting over a few beers followed by complete loss of memory of the night before. |

Im from a forces family, my mother was WAF then navy, and my dad was navy during the war.
However, I find the sycophancy to all service personnel uncomfortable. Like most walks of life, some people are good and some are wankers, and that applies to the forces as well. |
