I've just read that petrol is up about 10% at the pumps this morning.
Farage has just admitted it was a "mistake" (i.e. lie) about the £350m per week and giving it to the NHS, and Hannan has reportedly admitted that immigration won't fall.
These were all obvious before the vote and there's more to come. Likely a rise in interest rates, unemployment and/or tax, depending on what the panicking politicians do.

I'm pretty sure people castes their votes for reasons they believe to be positive.
No matter what each camp say, they all tell lies. We've just got to hope that the UK can prosper as it once did  |

They were lucky enough to cash in on the economic and housing boom of the 70's and 80's while their children have spent most of their adult working life in recession. |

The votes have been cast and the decision made. We all have to deal with and make the best of the situation we find ourselves in. This is not the time for recriminations but the time to face the new reality and pull together and ensure, as best we can, that our future outside the EU is as prosperous as possible. |

Reports are that the Leave leaders are panicking and asking Cameron to stay on and delay the legal step (invoking Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty) while they try to think what to do.
After all, it's likely to take many years (some say up to 10) before we can be completely withdrawn from the EU and its legal framework.
What many don't realise is that the referendum has no legal force; it is advisory only. I think that (since Parliament is supposedly sovereign) the Commons should now vote before the government takes any action. |

they, the grey vote have been largely protected with pensioner benefits etc being left untouched..
not sure that will remain the case in future.. |

It's not UK independence being discussed now.
Scottish politicians are talking up independence within the EU.
Irish nationalists are going to demand a referendum on uniting Ireland as a condition of England/Wales leaving EU.
Spain has started talking of taking control in Gibraltar.
I wonder if even London might demand independence?

No we're not, not since the referendum. It's pretty well inevitable that it will just be England and Wales that leaves the EU.

This union afforded opportunities to my parents when they came here even if though the 'welcome'wasn t always warm!
But surely it's better to be part of a bigger community, trade wise,

Do people really think that Scotland and Ireland has any hope off joining eu. Call me thick but neither country on there own haven't a lot to offer the eu. Ill be happy for them to join give them independents and close the border to Scotland and Ireland then watch them fall flat on they faces. Ill be first to vote no bail out plans when it goes tits up |

Scotland would need to leave the uk first and they decided against that last time. They would also have to apply to join the eu - would take years.

I genuinely, genuinely don't understand this logic, which seems to have underpinned the decision of most leavers. Pride doesn't keep our markets buoyant or our jobs safe. And to be honest, it makes us sound like jingoists and xenophobes. |
