Chams or Socials

I've no idea I wasn't born until 76 - a year after the referendum to join - so the EU membership is all I've known

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

The WORLD was very different then. No realistic comparison can be made and those that do seem to conveniently forget about the lack of indoor plumbing and the shops shutting on a Wednesday afternoon.

Kent

The blitz spirit and wedding dresses made out of parachutes sounds cosy but I doubt the reality was much fun

Life was simpler purely because we had less to spend money on and no technology. I was a child so life was very simple for me.

this..

3 channels on the telly, if you had one it was in the main black and white and rented..

less private cars, more people used public transport..

no supermarkets as we now know it, local shops for pretty much everything and into town to a department store for clothes etc..

fridge, freezer ownership was low same with a washing machine and they were basic if you did have one..

no credit cards, paid weekly usually..

the changes in the things we have around us which make life easier is a massive thing..
