Yomp around Bosworth and go to the little museum; I particularly enjoyed trying on different knightly helmets and attempting to have enough strength to pull a long bow. The clever machine judges how far your arrow would go, I pretty much pierced my own toe!!
Or trot over to Staunton Harold, nice walks round the lake, a really interesting little church with a great civil war mural and some nice little crafty shops. Also the cream tea in the tea shop is amazing.
Bradgate Park is nice for a walk. And the remains of Lady Jane Grey's ancestral home is pretty cool.
Possibly, if you're not a fellow history geek all of the above suggestions may be a bit rubbish!! |

I went Bradgate Park ... i love it there and go most days while I'm off work. The walking strengthens my new knee ... good physio. Plus they do lovely tea and cake ... !!! |
