Can you get around where you are? My Borough is one big pond and no one is going anywhere.

Im going to Leicestershires gorgeous country park for a walk and cup of tea

Not really into shopping, that would be a bad day for me

Yomp around Bosworth and go to the little museum; I particularly enjoyed trying on different knightly helmets and attempting to have enough strength to pull a long bow. The clever machine judges how far your arrow would go, I pretty much pierced my own toe!!

Or trot over to Staunton Harold, nice walks round the lake, a really interesting little church with a great civil war mural and some nice little crafty shops. Also the cream tea in the tea shop is amazing.

Bradgate Park is nice for a walk. And the remains of Lady Jane Grey's ancestral home is pretty cool.

Possibly, if you're not a fellow history geek all of the above suggestions may be a bit rubbish!!

I went Bradgate Park ... i love it there and go most days while I'm off work. The walking strengthens my new knee ... good physio. Plus they do lovely tea and cake ... !!!

They where all good suggestions but i dont drive anyway i went to melton and came back with three dresses, three tops and a toy for the baby all for £20
