My house sold last week after being on the market a week!. I bought a house up north on Thursday so tomorrow I'm heading up to meet with a builder and architect to knock it about.

The next part of my journey is starting......so why am

It's pretty normal to feel that way isn't it?

endings especially conscious ones always bring up unseen emotions sweet..you had a good reason for moving, however the landscape of your life is changing..transitions are always like walking into the unknown..once youve started work on the new place and you get more excited about the prospects youll be fine, if not fantastic..be gentle with you...xx

Easter just around the corner!

Moving house is a big thing, especially if you're doing everything by yourself. I did it without much help although I stayed in the same area so still familiar surroundings, but with the builders in and having to live in it at the same time it wasn't easy.

Plus having to move out of the marital home was pretty plop, just concentrate on new beginnings!

As a few people have said there is a lot going on, new house in what sounds like a new town, all the old memories made in that house good and bad will come flooding back.

But it is a new start, time to make things perfect for you and I wish you all the best in your ew place

It's a big step. What if the area isn't what you'd hoped ? what if the locals aren't friendly ? What about the people you leave behind ? Well it be what you want once the builders have finished ?

You must have hundreds of questions running though you're head so it only natural that you are upset and scared. I hope things go well for you.

Having done this a few times my only advice would be to do the move, but put builders etc on hold just for a little while... Give yourself a chance to settle in and then do what you wish. Talking to the locals etc., might give you different ideas...

Bolton

Good memories in the place you've had? New chapters in the place you're going to? The uncertainty of how it will work out....it sounds exciting though! Best of luck

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Take the time to grieve. Change can be scary but we do it all the time without noticing it. When we notice the stress hormones kick in.

Make your future and enjoy every minute (even the scary ones).

Central

I'd feel the same and many wouldn't get as far as you, due to fear. Sounds fantastic - hope it all goes really well

I've moved house more times than I care to think about!!

3 years ago I moved to a completely different area. I had to find schools for my children and work. I didn't know the area at all, only went there to view the house.

Best thing I ever did!!! I don't miss where I lived before, even though I'd always lived in that area. Kids settled well, I've made new and exciting friends. Have a job I enjoy....well most of the time anyway

Try not to think too much about all the possibilities, take each thing as it comes and deal with it then. Life is too short to worry about the ifs, buts and maybes.

Take this new adventure with both hands and run with it. It will be what you make it!

Good luck op, enjoy it
