The best and worst of Maradona in that game. The second goal was sublime. Barry Davies was spot on with his commentary.
I wonder if it had been the other way around and we'd scored the 'Hand of God' goal it would be as controversial 30 years later? |

"Maradona. 2nd goal is hardly ever mentioned.
It was revenge for the British forces killing his friend in the Falklands, he admitted he did it and why not so long ago." Thats quite remarkable thats the first time I,ve heard that mentioned, in all of football history there has never been a act similar and certainly not at that level of the game, I wonder how the history books view him now in that game... The man who pulled the wool over the eyes of world football... Diego Maradonna... |

Maradonna later complimented the fair play of the English team, saying, "I don't think I could have done it against any other team because the other used to knock you down; the English are probably the noblest in the world". |

Maradonna took to Facebook on Wednesday this week to remember the game, signing off with the phrase: "Everybody expected a war. But thanks to God, it was football." So nothing to do with the Falklands, sorry. |

Any football you watch today contains the same level of cheating. Fed up with TV pundits saying he's won his team a penalty etc when whatc he means is the player dived/feigned injury to con the ref |
