Why do people go to Glastonbury? It can't be for the music. Is there some enjoyment in camping in an overcrowded muddy field, getting filthy and sitting in traffic jams on the way there and back home? |

Went around the turn of the millennium and missed both Bowie and Strummer.
Gutted.
Another year I saw the beginning of Radiohead and that passed out until the final notes of the final song when I woke up again.
Irredeemably gutted. |

This is the first year that I haven't gone since my birth. My parents have taken the rest of the clan down as is tradition and are now in a boggy camper van field with the whole family. They went down Tuesday night to beat the queues but it seems so did everyone else |

First whentry in 91. Last want in 2011. Seen huge changes in that time and it's not really my thing anymore.
Doubt I'll go again, the cost of tickets combined with a need to be there Wednesday mornibg to camp somewhere decent puts me off. |

ZZ Top were surprisingly good, I thought...
Tbh I don't go for the music, although I got dragged along to Muse last night. Noisy, sub-par metal band. Meh. Madness are on today and they usually do a good sing along, and surprised and pleased to see LCD Soundsystem playing tomorrow night... We'll see what happens.
So much other stuff to see, do, partake of... circus, theatre, comedy... Shangri La, Block 9... walking with hippies... even managed to sneak in my mate's gf on the third attempt yesterday.
It's a bit muddy today so I popped home for a bath and to launder my white suit (the trousers were a bit of a state).

We are Into day 4 of the mud bath and it's amazing . Everyone is so friendly at Glastonbury .
It's not expensive or overpriced and it has many generations all mingling and enjoying the varied music that's on offer.
We have met up with fellow fabbers and enjoying the experience together |

Adele was amazing last night. Was great to be part of that experience . And Coldplay later is going to finish off a great festival. We are just going to get our flashy wristbands now |

Off site, home and bathed in 2:30hrs.
Not bad but I've done better!
Spare a thought for those stuck on site in the sun and thickening mud, or returning to cars in quagmires.
It'll take days to sort out |

Great festival, although slightly muddy Thought Muse were great(as always), skipped Adele to watch New Order who didn't disappoint, not into Coldplay much but it was a good performance with top special guests. Caught some special sets from legends such as; Art Garfunkel, ELO, and ZZ Top. The big metal spider with huge flames and banging music was something else. The festival is massive and we only covered a bit of it so will explore more next time |

It was muddy, so I wore a three-piece white suit throughout, although I have seen it worse.
Adewwl was pretty good, ZZ Top were also surprisingly good.
The 'metal spider' is the Arcadia stage/DJ booth. It's stunning but I don;t like the music they play.
Did you get to Shangri-La, Hell, Block 9 &c...? |
