Working a night shift tonight and forgot to take the phone off the hook. Just been disturbed AGAIN by the same arseholes pushing a boiler replacement scheme.

I sincerely hope these people all die slow agonizing deaths. Them and all their relatives.

No matter how often I complain they same scumbags refuse to stop harassing me.

Incidentally next on my hate list is the Telephone Preference Service. As much use as tits on a boar.

Just say 'can I put you on hold a minute' and leave them hanging on indefinitely.

Someone I know puts her 2 and 4 year old kids on the phone and gets then talking gobbledegook to them

Not much help as it is a pre recorded message. Have tried asking for a call back from a real person and asked for them to stop.

It is ignored. Begged and also ignored. Abused them and it still makes no difference.

"Google for BT8600 call blocker phone. Worth the cost IMHO"

Thanks. Will look into that.

There might be a cost involved but likely to be cheaper than my preferred alternative - identify the source of the calls and plant a huge fucking bomb

We are already. It is regularly ignored.

Complaints to the Tps are also a waste of time.

When I say it is regularly ignored I will be more specific.

This boiler replacement company phone a minimum of twice per day and have been for at least 12 months.

They have been told we are registered with the Tps. It makes no difference.

Why do you even have a landline phone? What's the point of them?

Tend to be fairly useful where you can't get a mobile signal we find!

I like to vent any anger on them and tell them how sad and desperate they must be to do a job like that

I never get phone calls on the landline. Literally about one a month.

The tps cannot do anything about recorded announcements. I have loads off the same number starting 0844 but i have a call saint gadget that blocks numbers.. Re: That boiler one.. If you listen to the end i think it tells you to press a number to take you off their list

Central

Report UK businesses who are in any way connected to calls that breach the telephone preference service to the UK Information Commissioner's office. They prosecute and fine them heavily.

It amazes me, how people know that I am old gullible and stupid.

I had this man with an asian accent, in a so called call centre phone me up claiming that he was from microsoft. And that he could detect that I had something wrong with my computer. I just laugh t at him and put the phone down. For more than over a week after, I had a automated phone call each evening at the same time every night. A man laughing and saying goodbye.

My brother had this call and he is a techno geek who works for microsoft he kept them on the phone for hours then hooked them in and released a trojan into the system

East Lincs

If you are registered with the TPS then complain to BOTH the TPS and ICO. It is a very simple online procedure that only takes a couple of minutes and the offending callers DO get fined for breaching the regulations!

The exemption is survey calls who appear to be exempt from the regulations.
