wasps nest.

you found a wasps nest somewhere in your house or garden and he was gonna get rid of it but you was telling him not to because he hasn't got the proper kit to deal with that and could end up in A&E...and what with tory cutbacks that wouldn't be a good thing.

If he wants to wear shorts, despite not having the legs for it, very white and wearing long socks with sandals, then let him. You offered advice, it wasn't accepted, so everyone will be laughing at him, not you. Besides, it's hot and shorts will be cooler.

Pamela, its an amazing world out there and glad you're embracing this opportunity in such a positive way. Yes there are many concerns...some founded on facts some on the unknown. It's actually much safer than many people believe. My experiences which have been quite extensive on a motorbike covering tens of thousands of miles in the past 20+ years in africa and Asia have shown that it can feel often safer than here in the west. I've a friend who is in her 18th month on 2 wheels peddling in central America as we speak. The stories, the friends, the places he will share will be amazing.

My advice; Tell him to take a change of pants. Red is lucky in China, is revolutionary in Russia, means danger & evil in the Middle East and represents female reproduction in Japan. It is also the colour of mourning in South Africa. Oh, and tell him to steer [see what I did there] of Pamplona in July

Good luck to him in his noble endeavour. [Applauds].
