Sorry I know its not a post about sex or swinging but oh my god Nigel Farage has shown his true colours in the latest leave campaign poster. Stirring up hatred, racism and xenophobia. Jobs for British hey Nigel? What about your wife, being your own private secretary, even though she is German? Surely a British person could do this couldn't they? He makes my skin crawl. Sorry had to rant!!!

not sure the Conservatives will want him if it comes to that being an issue, Theresa May has played a quiet game and they will need someone to try and 'unite them'..

which if its a remain vote will need ether a hypnotist or Attila the hun..

that's not the racist point, the cornerstone of alot of his arguments are British jobs for British presumably white christians who play cricket drink tea at three o clock live in a rose walled cottage and have stiff upper lips people. And his German born wife is his personal secretary..why couldn't they that job?

Farage indirectly believes that humans can be subdivided into distinct groups that are different in their social behaviour or class thus implying the British or predominantly English are superior. Ukip discriminates on the basis of ethnic and cultural basis. Have a look at the latest poster release. It stirs up far right fascism and is a dangerous tinder box ready to be ignited.

I'm no Farage fan and sitting firmly on the fence here and playing Devils advocate, but I've never heard him say he's anti immigration full stop - he's consistently argued against a totally 'free movement' of people into the UK and advocated a need for a 'case by case basis'. Whether you agree with him or not depends on your politics of course and I'm offering no viewpoint here, but just because he has a German wife doesn't necessarily make him hypocritical as he has never said to close our borders to all.

There's far more to the leave / remain debate that just immigration. Most of the other stuff seems to have been forgotten or overlooked though.

Before you vote I recommend looking at the arguments on both sides on ALL of the issues and remember that in most scenarios there are few 'facts' but rather a lot suppositions / assumptions about what might happen - weigh them all up and reach your own conclusions on what is best on the balance of probabilities and your own personal values. Don't make it a 'one issue' decision - look at the big picture and vote sensibly, whether that be leave or remain

Nigel Farage copied the "British job's for British workers" line from Gordon Brown. It was Gordon Brown who was first to use that particular soundbite during his 2010 Labour party general election campaign when he wanted to be Prime Minister. So I take it you think Gordon Brown is racist and xenophobic then as he was the first one to use it.

from what I gather he is controversial but that's what seems to sell and interest his followers as their are big groups around the country who share his opinions/ideology which is what has made farage and ukip rise up so to speak..

EU Fat Cats make my skin crawl.

According to documents leaked ahead of the last European elections two years ago, EU tax perks mean that at least 10,000 EU employees are taking home more than David Cameron.

Among the extra perks are the £240 monthly allowance for stay-at-home spouses and the £100-a-month allowance per child. On top of that, European taxpayers spend an estimated £80 million each year in school fees for Eurocrats' children.

"Farage indirectly believes that humans can be subdivided into distinct groups that are different in their social behaviour or class thus implying the British or predominantly English are superior. Ukip discriminates on the basis of ethnic and cultural basis. Have a look at the latest poster release. It stirs up far right fascism and is a dangerous tinder box ready to be ignited.

Complete and utter nonsense, Nigel Farage is massively pro -commonwealth and wants closer ties with the commonwealth so that goes completely opposite to everything you just said.

"EU Fat Cats make my skin crawl.

According to documents leaked ahead of the last European elections two years ago, EU tax perks mean that at least 10,000 EU employees are taking home more than David Cameron.

Among the extra perks are the £240 monthly allowance for stay-at-home spouses and the £100-a-month allowance per child. On top of that, European taxpayers spend an estimated £80 million each year in school fees for Eurocrats' children.

ummm one of those fatcats was Farage remember

Which means he's a man of principle campaigning to lose his job!? Remainers and the other 10, 000 won't understand that as they milk the system (funded by YOU) for all its worth!"

not saying that what Geldof did was appropriate, but lets be hones he was aiming those 2 fingers at Farage..

Again read the article and not just the headline. It clearly says on the article that different teachers in his school had different views on him as a schoolboy. Some thought he had right wing views and some didn't. Different views of different teachers.

I'm wondering what you are going to come up with next? Will it be "Farage was a racist baby in his pram"?

He claims to not be part of the establishment yet he's spent the past 25 years gagging for a seat in Westminster.

And when he couldn't suck on that teet he makes do with being an MEP and milking taxpayers for over £2m in expenses and not doing any work for it.

And his German born wife is his personal secretary..why couldn't they that job?

The point is a man that has a foreign national spouse is being labelled a racist and I find that hypocritical of the accuser

And I find it hypocritical he has an immigrant wife and waffles on about how immigrants damage the nation .the man I just a buffoon.....

I'm no Farage fan and sitting firmly on the fence here and playing Devils advocate, but I've never heard him say he's anti immigration full stop - he's consistently argued against a totally 'free movement' of people into the UK and advocated a need for a 'case by case basis'. Whether you agree with him or not depends on your politics of course and I'm offering no viewpoint here, but just because he has a German wife doesn't necessarily make him hypocritical as he has never said to close our borders to all."

Didn't he casually lob in the idea of 4 million Turks the other week.

And all that bollocks about Romanians.

It's all a red herring anyway. Apart from certain areas which haven't received adequate extra funding to help local services. Which could easily have happened if they'd somehow ringfaced all the contributions migrant workers make to our tax,NI and local government.

It is looking increasingly likely that the tories had to cheat in the last general election to beat Farage in the Thanet seat he contested. Kent Police currently still doing investigations into Conservative party spending limits at the last general election in several seats not just the one in Thanet. If it is found that tories broke the rules there could be criminal prosecutions and Tory MP's stripped of their MP status in those seats. I guess we will see what Kent Police come up with in this particular case won't we.

They definitely have. The electoral commission puts a limit on spending for a reason. Just a shame there's no reasonable limit on national spending as well. Otherwise we're going to continue heading the way of the US.

Nigel Farage has always said that we need "Controlled Immigration" which i agree with,But the lefty types are like a dog with a bone and wont let go will they?,first they say he is Racist!,Then the eagerly point out he has a German wife!,So what if she is German?,doesnt stop the leftwing fascists from harping on does it?."

Just makes him a hypocrite as well ..tosser

all I'm pointing out that a British citizen with secretarial skills could do that job surely that's part of UCrapS argument that those from the EU are being allowed to come over and take jobs which those British people could do..?

He is racist. I didn't know there was any dispute on that. Does he try to hide it? I thought stunts like his refugee poster where all about him being open about his racism. Id say most of the Tories are just as bad, but they keep it under wraps.

What I find quite amusing is people here calling others racist or bigoted for wanting controlled immigration from Europe.

Why, what race do you think Europeans are? A different one?

Yeah. One out of 43 meetings is trying really hard isn't it?

Even the Economics Editor(David Smith) of the Sunday Times says we'll end up losing 25-39 billion a year if we leave, as opposed to the net 8.5 billion we give to them annually.

"He claims to not be part of the establishment yet he's spent the past 25 years gagging for a seat in Westminster.

And when he couldn't suck on that teet he makes do with being an MEP and milking taxpayers for over £2m in expenses and not doing any work for it.

The man is a joke.

so the spin is that he was undone by alleged dodgy doings by the Tories, which if proven to be the case requires addressing under the relevant law..

but did he not try and fail 7 previous times to get his arse on the green benches and become one of those whom he call 'the Westminster elite'?

more hypocrisy..

"It's very interesting how the UK is split over this decision and I'd love to see some kind of metrics and profiling of the main categories of voters for each side."

The general profile is quite simple, the more older and right wing you are the more likely you are to vote Leave, the more left wing and younger you are the more likely you are to vote Remain.

There is also a greater tendency for males to vote Leave and females to vote Remain.

These are general trends, not absolutes, so is not absolute. For example my politics is definitely right of centre, I am above 50 and also male but I'll be voting Remain.

Bob Geldof!! The fact that Bob (give us your fucking money) Geldof gave a wanker sign to some fishermen on the Thames last week is your comparison to Nigel Farage's alleged racism? Have you finally lost the plot? Even I've given Farage a better defence than that on other threads in the past.

No.

Farage doesn't deny he said those things.

Two teacher's from the letter say he did say those things. The Telegraph also quotes another teacher who said that they weren't right wing comments, but were racist.

The one person who in some way defends him is the deputy, who, again, doesn't deny he said those things, but that they were a 'facade' and the was a 'leftish' element in the staff room.

I'm sure he didn't mean the Nazi songs and racist comments and it wall a larky facade.

A few people in the french government have said it will remain at Calais. The Calais border controls have nothing to do with the EU, it is a bilateral agreement between France and Britain called the treaty of Le Touquet.

I can only hope you're tolling and this isn't what you really think! Farage is an old fashioned far right racist. Nothing more, nothing less.

What's he said that's racist. Bet you can't find anything.

Lol this old chestnut. I believe is known as the Tommy Robinson defence!

You don't have a sensible answer then?

Seriously? Are you asking me to show evidence that Farage is a racist? He's constantly spewing moronic racist bile. I've no interest in trying to debate with you because 1. You wont change your mind. And 2. I don't know you so don't care what you think. However it is a public forum so I maintain the right to make fun of anyone."

Farrage is not a racist, nor is he a Neo Nazi as others on this thread have accused him of, Nazim is a very specific ideology. He is a Fascist, although he has learnd lessons from Mussolini and Franco, in that he has eschewed the idea of military uniform, opting insted for a fictional nostalgia based around Britain in WW2.

"It's very interesting how the UK is split over this decision and I'd love to see some kind of metrics and profiling of the main categories of voters for each side.

Most of the women i know are voting out, frau angel is...unt all her house frau freunds"

Read this you will see what racists he and his party are

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/nigel-farage/11467713/No-dogs.-No-blacks.-No-Irish-is-now-Ukip-policy.html

He's just cleaned his act up a bit for gullible brexiters ....

Hysterical headlines, the whole article is completely false. Patrick O Flynn Ukip MEP is of Irish heritage and of Irish descent. Also Ukip have had plenty of black, Asian and mixed race candidates standing in elections in the past such as Rusty Lee, Winston McKenzie, Amjad Bashir and Ukip MEP Steven Woolfe is mixed race are just the ones I can name of the top of my head.

Lol amazing. I've got black friends too. Haha.

I suppose more lies in your book

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/ukip/10322331/Nigel-Farage-was-a-racist-schoolboy.html

I'm inclined to agree that digging back into things Farage, or anyone else, said or did at school is really scraping the barrel. As for the teachers that made the comments about Farage, I personally think they've shown an appalling lack of professionalism.

I don't like Farage and I don't like or agree with his politics but to drag up things he said and did as school boy and use those against him now is just wrong. You can't claim the moral high ground if you're sifting through the gutter yourselves. And let's be honest, we don't have, he's said enough more recently for people to draw their own conclusions about whether he is or is not a racist.

"Can someone explain to me how having a foreign born wife makes somebody racist?that's not the racist point, the cornerstone of alot of his arguments are British jobs for British presumably white christians who play cricket drink tea at three o clock live in a rose walled cottage and have stiff upper lips people.

Not once has anybody in the leave campaign said immigration damages the country but UNCONTROLLED immigration does

Anyone with a secure house front door, anyone who is selective on who they let through their house door yet calls xenophobia, racism or shouts nazi at anyone suggesting we do the same with the countries front door is a hypocrite.

The UK'S front door is in Calais. If we brexit it will be in Dover

A few people in the french government have said it will remain at Calais. The Calais border controls have nothing to do with the EU, it is a bilateral agreement between France and Britain called the treaty of Le Touquet. "

The French govt have lawyers too. Bilateral agreement that can be terminated at a later date

there is a lovely old adage ....

if you are sitting round a table with a bunch of people... and you can't work out who the weak link is.... the likelyhood is that it is probably you!

so if i was to sit nigel on a table with a lot of out/leave campaigners.... and ask who the weak link was.... i think the fingers would be pointing...

he is going to be a large part if remain win on thursday... he turnes the atmosphere a lot more toxic and does stuff the riles up people in not a good way.....

He certainly riles up Herman van Rompuy, Jean Claude Juncker and Martin Shultz in the EU parliament.

With the democratic deficit in the EU, not sure anyone knows who they are outside of the EU parliament though?

What they are is federalists. They want a centralization of Power in Brussels inside an EU superstate where they can control the whole of the EU from.

It was an internal letter. The deputy and another teacher were asked for comments, obviously. SO no lack of professionalism.Everyone who was a student there left around 30 years ago so the professionalism point is a bit irrelevent.

I sort of agree on the muck raking point, but I'd like to know if someone was a far right sympathiser if they want to help represent my nation, even if it was 34 years ago. It's up to others if they think it's relevent or not.It certainly is to me, and many others, for example.

We know he's right of right wing, but this is scary.Leopards, spots, etc.

Prince Harry can eff off as well.

You can write it off as idiotic high school high jinks, or take it as an insight into the man and what he thinks/feels is 'funny'.

SLightly worse than Ken's foot in mouth moment too.

Okay. A lot worse.
