For turning down Arsenal.
Finally a striker who puts his passion for the sport above his money!!
I'm not anti-Arsenal by any means, but Vardy is one of those strikers that's better off in a 'smaller' team who will build around him. He's not the all rounder you need to be to play way Arsenal would want him to. He'd end up on the heap of other strikers who should have stayed where they were:
- Danny Ings
- Rickie Lambert
- Wilfried Bony
- Christian Benteke
Vardy would have been next on that list... |

Whats your evidence for that exactly? Hes been out for practically the full season with an injury...prior to that he had been playing and started to score also, and this within his first 2 months at the club. So i ask once again, how is his career dead at liverpool? |

well after arsenal offered, leicester did offer him a new improved contract taking out the clause but upping his wages to 100k per week....
as an arsenal fan, the dude just got married... and he is guarenteed way more playing time at leicester than he would here... so at 29.. i'd probably do the same thing.... |

I really hope Vardy does stay at Leicester city for another season. Why would you want to leave when you have just won the league and you are guaranteed Champions league football next season. Leicester city are the team he owes all his success to for giving him a chance and its good to see some loyalty for a change. Unfortunately there seems to be far too many money grabbing tosspots around like Raheem Sterling who show 0% loyalty to clubs. |

I think he's made a wise choice.
Leicester play to his strengths, arsenal's style of play is completely different, Wenger would have had to completely change how they play to accommodate Vardy.
I can't see Wenger going against all he believes in. So I can't see why he was interested.
Unless it's to fulfil the home grown quota.....
#Puzzled
Personally I hope Ranieri manages to keep the whole squad together and manages to recruit players with the same spirit. They'll need a bigger squad next year because of the extra games.

Difference is with Ings Klopps said he suits their style which the other 2 didnt/don't in bentekes case. Lambert supported Liverpool as a kid I bet he has zero regrets about the move and if I was an arsenal fan id be relieved Vardy rejected the move it wasn't a good fit for either party. |

"For turning down Arsenal.
So danny ings should have dropped down to the championship should he?
I'm saying his career is dead at Liverpool and he'd be better off at a mid to lower place team in the premiership.
Whats your evidence for that exactly? Hes been out for practically the full season with an injury...prior to that he had been playing and started to score also, and this within his first 2 months at the club. So i ask once again, how is his career dead at liverpool?
He wasn't even in the starting line up before getting injured!!
He had scored 3 goals in the 5 games before he got injured, including in the derby at goodison. He got injured the next week
2 goals in 6 league appearances. Liverpool change their team so much I don't even know if you could say they even have a starting line up but I had him on fantasy football at the start of season and he was a waste of space because he barely played
Young player moves to a big club, takes a handful of games to find his feet before making the starting line up. Thats essentially all that happened. He hasnt even had a chance to play for klopp yet for ffs!
Fair enough but Liverpool have form here, it's not like Lambert or Benteke will be grateful for the move, other than their bank balance...
It's just sad to see Lambert the WBA bench company! It's like seeing a former movie star behind the counter at McDonald's!!"
got to be honest i was surprised when we signed Lambert, never really rated him tbh..
then again we signed David Speedie and Mario Balloteli too .. |

He's slow but good at set pieces and in the air. You need to play a distinct style to get the best out of him. Liverpool don't play that style. |

tbh i'm glad we moved away from it, the old Keegan/Toshack dynamic worked in its day but its in the past..

"The problem with Arsenal is they always try to walk it in"
Or they just don't have a top quality striker who is an all round finisher an Henry/RVP type that can score all types of goal and take advantage of the quality passes and through balls you get at arsenal |

I hope he does stay, it would be good for him and Leicester, they play to his strengths. However, I won't believe he is staying until the transfer window is shut. Fabian Delph has tuned me into too much of a cynic unfortunately. |

I was just quoting the IT Crowd, I have no idea what that sentence actually means

I haven't watched a football game since Euro 96, I just like to quote occasional lines form the BBC to give the impression I know about it as doing so makes me feel manly |

Ings will fit Liverpool well, looking forward to seeing him next season... Benteke on the other hand was a ridiculous signing by the fraud, what on earth he was thinking is beyond anyone... Buy a striker for £32m who thrives on crosses and then sell one winger and send the other out on a seasons loan. |

I can beat that, at Reading we spent all our money on loaning a chelsea striker and played him crosses and high / long balls all year - the dude is 5 foot 3 |

I'm not a Gunner by any stretch of the imagination, but I suspect Vardy is one of those players who would be "found out" at a bigger club... Manure, citeh, Chelsea - all will be out to prove stuff this season together with the Gooner scum, Spurs and (dare I say) Loserpool. Vardy knows where his bread is buttered and credit to him for that....another couple of big premiership pay days at Leicester IMO and then back to the championship.

Danny Ings was starting to settle in and score a few goals at Liverpool until he got injured. Glad he left us because we got Andre Gray and his goals got us up again. I hope Danny does well this season except when they play us |
