The first single/record i bought . I heard it on the radio today and still think its great.

What was your first record and do you still love it or loathe it .

Torquay

Not my first record but the first one given to me by my other half, he was working for a well known music publication at that time and we were dating, and he presented me with a white label copy of the Stevie Wonder record 'If it's Magic', never released in the UK as a single so very precious to me.

Still got it today.....

I bought the Chicken Song by Spitting Image

I'd gone shopping with my big sister... I still think she should've stopped me from doing such a stupid thing.

On the same day she bought Rock Me Amadeus by Falco... I wish I could say that had been my first ever record, not the fucking stupid Chicken Song.

I'm sure there's a joke in there somewhere about "melt in your mouth, not in your hand" but I'm too tired to think it through properly.

The first record I had bought for me was Leapy Lee's 'Little Arrows' I was Five. I always assumed he was American. Just Googled him, He was from Eastbourne and his name is Graham Pulleybank! Another illusion shattered

First album I bought myself was Aladdin Sane and I still have it

Tra still has the first record she bought..
