"Do you claim for your mobile phone as an expense, or move the direct debit to your business account?"
If its your own company. Transfer the phone contract to a business contract and voila it's now owned by the company and you allow yourself to make personal calls. |

"Do you claim for your mobile phone as an expense, or move the direct debit to your business account?" hi i claim it as an expense and have moved it to my business account . take it that you phone is contract as you cannot claim it as an expense or business plus i claim for 2nd phone for the wife and put it in my accounts as its also on my business account to take and make calls when i'm not available as m0st of the time i'm traveling . i also print off all my phone bills hope this is of help to you |

Not sure i quite understand you." yes sorry just looked at it some how bits have gone missing move it to business and you can clam it if not you can only claim for business call's .if you was on pay as you go then you can't clam at all |

As above, move to a business contract, if your wife/partner does any work for you, I.e. answers calls when you are unavailable then move theirs too and you can put them all through your accounts. If your VAT registered you can also claim back the VAT on your contract.
If you want to keep your personal contract you can only claim back for business calls made through expenses. |
