Do you claim for your mobile phone as an expense, or move the direct debit to your business account?

"Do you claim for your mobile phone as an expense, or move the direct debit to your business account?"

If its your own company. Transfer the phone contract to a business contract and voila it's now owned by the company and you allow yourself to make personal calls.

As above, move to a business contract, if your wife/partner does any work for you, I.e. answers calls when you are unavailable then move theirs too and you can put them all through your accounts. If your VAT registered you can also claim back the VAT on your contract.

If you want to keep your personal contract you can only claim back for business calls made through expenses.

Business contract through work, simplest way of describing it. Usual application process but work details instead of yours for address and bank etc
