"Im sad about Jo cox ,but what does this government expect ,when they keep closing down mental health hospitals and let mentally ill people live in the community,a lot of murders committed in this country are by those that are mentally ill.They have closed down Two hospitals in bristol for the mentally ill because of government cut backs,I'm not saying that everyone that is mentally ill is a murderer." I was thinking the same thing and some of the crimes people commit and get a short prison sentence for would have been locked away in a mental hospital and never let out again years ago, which was the right thing to do. | |||

Not want to get too much into political discussion because I don't like to but prison sentences are dreadfully short in the UK anyway, people getting 3/4 years and sometimes less for killing someone is a farce. | |||

I just think that humans have an almost unlimited capacity for cruelty given the right circumstances. Just look at evidence from wars just in the 20th century. They can't all have had character defects. | |||
