slogan for life Dear Friends, Forumites and Fabbers.
May I begin by congratulating the neighbours for their win today. You were just too strong for our boys . Let’s hope we both progress pass the group stages in that there France.
Pooch and I watched the dying embers of the game together, after a far too speedy journey back from work this afternoon. Heavens I drove far too fast, when I sat down and thought about it, it was a rather silly thing to do.
So after a long walk in the woods and a short but bubbly soak in the bath, my spirits are once again restored.
Nothing beats being alone with ones thoughts, well not alone Pooch was there with me but he had his nose stuck in a rather big book. He has bought a similar device to the one Bob Dylan used to play his harmonica only he can read and walk at the same time. He has his own tree dodging radar built in.
This had pooch and I thinking, and there in lays todays question
If you were to create a slogan for your life, what would it be?
Keep it classy, Just a Tad sassy but never trashy
Pooch and Taff , fully restored to jolliness

My primary school headmaster started every assembly with,
Good, better, best, never let it rest until your good is better and your better is best.
It's stuck with me.
The other one that I try hard to remember when things are tough is, Everything is temporary.
The one from The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel is also good:
It will be alright in the end. If it isn't alright then it isn't the end.

In the end, only three things matter: how much you loved, how gently you lived, and how gracefully you let go of things not meant for you.
and no The Buddha did not say this but we jolly well like it
our other motto is
" better drown than be a dismal duffer , pass the pork pies , spam sandwiches, cake and lashings of ginger beer ... Hurrrah !! |

Have two in our kitchen that I like.
