Yarmouth social a good idea. Would cover Lowie area too. The Norwich social is held at a very tolerant pub ( gay/ TV crowd are its usual punters). Is there anywhere like that in GY?

Why do a lot of socials seem to be held in LGBT venues?

Because they are tolerant of people who don't lead totally conventional lifestyles. A large group of Swingers , many dressed fairly provocatively, talking about the stuff Swingers tend to talk about when they meet up would be a bit too much for your average Brewers Fayre

Must be a room available to hire somewhere. Most pubs\ clubs offer free hall hire these days as they need the business. Just get a Bluetooth speaker system and play music through ipod or phone job done.

It's a little ironic that LGBT people have their safe spaces and yet they also function as (sort of) safe spaces for straights/cis too.

Okay thread closed sorry but thought it would be good having a social nearer to home. To us its about flirting and having fun and getting to know someone. I don't care if you are gay, bi, a human puppy but if you can't meet in a bar and make friends then hey forget it xx

Cliff Hotel in Gorleston is nice and if weather is ok the sun deck would be great to sit out on and chat to people.

I know where you are coming from but the Norwich social is a great success largely due to the choice of venue . Ask the organiser.

Of course one can be held in any pub. Try approchingthe Landlords of varoius GY pubs and run it by them and see how you get on. X

No need to tell them it's for a group of swingers, they want your business not a heart attack
