We were wondering what yous think it was on the news about certain sites getting younger people on and ending up in trouble . How do you stop these people getting on sites that they shouldn't be on . Th reason we are putting this on here is we think we have had people on here who were not of age . We did seek advice and followed it up but what can be done to keep an adult site just for adults I'm sure most on here like us have daughters and grandkids so let's see if someone can come up with a way to stop it thnx showing passports or summit like that x |

This site allows over 18s so if they're lying about their age (which has never happened in the history of the internet ever!) I'm not sure what more you expect.

Only other way like photo verification. Is driving licence copy which only administration can see. I would say birth certificate but that's a piece of paper |

There was an article on BBC news this morning about sex education lessons including porn, because its becoming very obvious that its starting to affect peoples perception of what sex is like. If we educate our children about this sort of thing, and monitor their internet use, then it should reduce any illegal shenanigans.
If they're over 18 then I have no problem with them being on here. Yes, I would even accept my daughter being on here, as long as she told me so I could block her! |

The only slightly realistic way would be to do an age verification credit/debit card check. But that don't stop a kid taking his/hers parents card for this. |

Something that has to be done at Admin level if indeed it is possible.
Insist with photo verification of a face pic with the username and caption, if these is any suspicion insist on close up photo Id and do their best to spot photoshopped images.
Then if any member is suspicious of an under age person then report to the admins. This may inconvenience some over age people but I would understand if it were me and perhaps even feel flattered about looking younger.
If a fifteen, sixteen or seventeen year old is determined then they will find a way anyway and with some it is incredibly difficult to tell. We can all be vigilant |

We completely understand the angle you are coming from. In this digital age there are really no boundaries; use a credit card child takes it; use passport, child still takes it. To us its about the responsibility as a parent to educate siblings to the real world. I truly cant see how fab or any site can put in place schemes that would work. Welcome to the digital world. Age of consent is one thing but on adult sites like fab you have to be 18 . And no I don't help our daughters are in there thirty s. It was our grand daughters we were on about . Look all we were asking is if anyone has any ideas we can put to admin to help make this site as safe as we can so no one gets caught up in something they never intended getting into thnx |

I'm not really sure what the problem is? it is for parents to educate and supervise their children and make sure that underage people don't end up on places like this lying about their age. But that being said someone somewhere will always try it. So just be vigilant in who you meet or if you suspect that photos my be of someone underage, report it to the admin. |

I wouldn't want to hand my details over to a site like this, so many things can be hacked these days. The only way to stop them is to report them to admin. I've never come across anyone that appears underage but what do I know, they could be but I just don't know.
Really it's the parents responsibility to have parental controls over their 'kids' devices, OK in theory it would be great to control this but I know my kids would override this in someway or another, they are all old enough now to figure this out.
Just report them to admin and hope for the best, I see where you are coming from OP, it is worrying that my sons could join up and falsify their details but I don't really know how to stop them, apart from take away all their devices, which is just impractical in this day and age

Also I would like to add, that joining up and looking at pictures is one thing but arranging a meet is another thing, if teens did sign up, it's probably teenage boys wanting to perve at the photos, which can be found (not the ones on here) on the Internet and all the porn sites, so I don't think it's a major problem.
But things like tinder and all the dating apps you could also say is just as bad, you can sign up to them and not prove anything, I wouldn't worry too much OP, if it's just to perve is can be found anywhere, the same as arranging meeting somewhere, it's not just sites like these

I joined faceparty a few years ago when i was in my early 20s. They verified your age by taking a pound from your credit card and then reembursing you. This works because every credit card transaction gives the company your paying, access to your age and address on your card details. |

The best way to stop your grandchildren from accessing naughty sites is to up your online filters lots of routers do this just search for how to filter websites on router that or buy something like net nanny. There's very little a website can do to ensure users are over 18.
And after our last visit to a club age and maturity are two entirely different things after watching a middle aged couple act like 15 year olds |

Well it's easy to see you don't have to be under 18 to be immature judging by some of the comments on here what should of been a sensible thread with us adults just putting forward there ideas on how to make it a better site by trying to stop these young people getting on its turned out some people care but some are just to stupid to see sense . We all know how easy it is to get on this site and I have had it on good authority there was certain young people on here and I mean very young we did seek advice and we did act on it by telling the right people but like we say it still happens so we just thought it would be nice as adults to get together and try something maybe we were wrong . There's threads about tv . There's threads about what can I do today . Where's best for this where's best for that lol it's a good site but if we don't try and make it better it will go the same way as all the others down the pan thnx rant over if yous are going to paradise in July maybe we can chat about it there ha ha lol see we do have a soh thnx |

Aren't you being a tad condescending towards others that have a different view to you? There are several steps you can take, parental controls probably being one of the best. I know 10 year olds with their own debit cards too. Nobody will want to use their passport for various reasons of security, photo ID can easily be shopped a lot easier by a 15 year old than I could manage. If none of these reasonable measures are enough for you, maybe we should close the Internet.

My twins are 21 and both look about 15. Must be a nightmare trying to work out who is what on here for admin. Especially as the older we get the younger they look at an higher age. |

I'm 35 and got id'd recently too, some people do look a lot younger than they actually are.
To the OP, if you thinking someone may be under the age of 18 on this site the best thing to do is to report the profile to admin so they can look into it.
As for security, I wouldn't feel comfortable putting my id onto a site such as this, I have shown my id in clubs, they have taken down details and proved I am old enough to enter those but I wouldn't on the internet.
The reality is under 18s will be able to access any adult site with will. It's their own parents or carers responsibility to stop them, via parental controls on the internet etc, but so many kids have mobile phones with 4g etc it's difficult for that to be stopped.
So again if anyone suspects an underage profile report it. |

Theres probably not much this site or other sites can do. Other than ask for credit card details, driving licence copies etc.
But, if kids really want to access sites like these, they will. And most of them are so aware of how to get around filters etc.
The best way is education from parents, having an "open door" policy so that the kids feel they can ask anything and everything amd get a straightand honest answer. We have always done that with ours. And so far, it has worked. They have asked us about sex, including one famous conversation about blowjobs. "Why is it called a blow job, when you suck???" Dating sites, online porn etc things they have heard. (Their ages range from 15 to 23) But what works for one does'nt for others.
And lets not forget, kids can be bloody relentless. If you have a swimming pool in your back garden and they want to get to it, you can build the highest fence and they WILL figure out how to climb it.
Would'nt it be better to teach them how to swim?

OP. Name calling and insults are a totally unnecessary way of reacting to people who don't share your views. Perhaps step away from the keyboard, have a cup of tea, and return when you're feeling a little more mature.
As for your original point. Use your own common sense and experience to deal with those who may not be all they seem and report to admin anything against site rules or law.

I don't look for thnx off anyone for doing this I get a card sent off young girls and boys saying thnx with a little message and that gives me all I need by the way once the thread is closed I will put on our pics a receipt off the charity you might not think it but even the bad comments on here have helped raise the cash lol |

Perhaps if some parents took a little more interest in / responsibility for what their kids get up to online, this may not happen quite as much. It can never be stopped no more than anyone stopped me from buying booze when I was underage but a little more parental input could go a long way to help.

If you get a face pic, get their email(this will often reveal their real name) you can check them out on Facebook sometimes to try to check their age, or just ask for ID. XXX |

How do you stop these people getting on sites that they shouldn't be on . Th reason we are putting this on here is we think we have had people on here who were not of age . The minimum age for photographs of a person is 18 in the UK. Photographs of 17 year old are classified as photographs of a minor and are therefore illegal. |

Personally Iv not ever come across anyone that would make me think they are under age.
But looking at society it's very common for under age people to go out to pubs/clubs and never be asked for ID because they look old enough.
We all know it happens and most likely we've all done it but as to spotting it on here I guess it could be difficult so the only thing we can do is report to admin and let them do their own investigation to your suspicions.
Me on the other hand
At the age of 33 Iv never had the problem of getting id'd but when Iv had a shave well that's it lol
I even got asked for ID at asda for a knife & fork set lol |

And yeah we are aware there's a lot of people who have never been approached by someone they thought was under age but it happened to us lol see most of us are in the public eye you might think your not but we see it all the time how people get abused on sites for refusing to give in to some people and before you know it they have taken a pic from your file and used it in a way to upset you . And before the the clever ones start saying don't let them see pics or whatever think cos it's so easy to hack these days don't you think lol |

How many parents buy their children video games rated as 18+? These often contain images of women that could be classed as almost pornographic.
How many allow their children to watch films over their age limit?
We are making it normal to be allowed to breach the age restrictions and then expecting these clever young people to adhere to the age limits set for the interweb. 
We need to educate young people better about sex and relationships. We need to stop operating double standards by being lenient in one area and expecting them to strictly adhere to the rules in another. We need to talk to them and know them so that we trust them.
If you suspect someone is under age here then report. There's not a lot else you can do about it. |
