"Somebody being cocky and arrogant or somebody being shy, humble and modest? I know people will say confidence is sexy so no need to reiterate that. "
no point asking the question if you wont let us respond how we wish to?
I would say a mixture of both would do it for me...and yes a modicum of confidence is preferred to a bucketload of arrogance...I like people who know what they want but don't go about it in a demanding way |

For me its middle ground. I will very rarely make the first move in a club yet I am confident enough to talk to anyone....
So I need a guy who will do that but at the same time ain't gonna come stormin through shouting 'Get yer coat love - you've pulled'! |

Something inbetween would be my preference too but if I absolutely have to choose I would go with shy and modest.... cockiness is a real turn off and I prefer quieter types who usually (in my experience) have deeper thoughts and more emotional intelligence, which are big turn ons for me |

Overly confident is never sexy. Being shy isn't but I find it quite endearing. If someone is shy, they may just need a bit of coaxing. If someone shies away from public attention or is more reserved in company, I don't think that's not sexy.
I'd choose a shy man over an arrogant one. |

Shy humble and modest is nice if you have the privilege of time, in a club situation you're against the clock a bit so confidence works better at getting to the point. Arrogance is rarely attractive in any situation

Mrs x" yeah that baffles me when men go to any kind of club looking for women and don't approach them because nothing will happen unless you are really good looking the old fashioned way of women expecting men to make the move is still how it works. |

I couldn't stand either extreme really. I guess that is what most people would say, but cockyness makes me check out really quickly and constant humility is tiring and a bit negative. No thanks to both. |

Cockiness is horrible. Shyness can be cute but not too shy that they can't speak.
You can be confident yet modest enough to be down to earth and not think your gods gift.
A little self deprecating doesn't hurt and can be humerous which again is a sign of confidence. |

Someone once asked me why I thought a woman was sexy, "She isn't so beautiful really, how can you say that?" she said.
Well, sexy is how you carry yourself and how you dress and walk and use your hands and eyes to communicate, she is sexy as hell! Sure not the most attractive woman but she will get the guy every time over a quiet gorgeous one. |

I like confidence with a touch of arrogance... Mainly people who know what they want and how to get it. I like ambition too. Fighting your own battles..
Shy is cute but it bores me very quickly. I can't do with spending life in a corner.
The most turn off though is negativity!! but shy people can be über positive and confident people very negative... Gosh that's a hard question you are asking!
Humble is a wonderful quality. So is respectful |

I had two guys come into work today, the whole
Package, crisp white tee shirts, perfect teeth, tanned and yeah they were good looking and they came across as arrogant pigs, had all the talk for the young pretty thing I work with but actually they were like putty in my hands but I didn't find myself attracted to them in a way I thought 'phwor!!' Because of the image they portrayed. I much prefer the everyday man, who actually talks to you and take an interest in you and not what you look like (like these guys did to the little 18 year old, they had all the banter for her but with me, nothing...i must have come across as the mean old witch!!)

"For me its middle ground. I will very rarely make the first move in a club yet I am confident enough to talk to anyone....
So I need a guy who will do that but at the same time ain't gonna come stormin through shouting 'Get yer coat love - you've pulled'! yeah I get you, I have a friend good looking guy but is shy and only seems to have success with ladies when they come to him which isn't often as ladies expect the man to make the move. Whereas I usually try my luck and punch above my weight an do reasonably well."
Really dislike cocky and arrogant....much prefer the quiet type. |
