Not a question that is if any interest to non- Americans;
But it has been a contentious issue recently;
No representatives in Senate and no voting representative in the House; so it's fair to say they have not got the basic right to be represented.
But it was set up specifically to be a " neutral" capital city, under the direct control of the Government.
Not really viable as a state, since it doesn't really have an economy .
But not really practical to "reattach" it to one of the donor neighbouring states, for their senator/ representatives to take them under their wing |
