In all seriousness I don't think you will see another World War type scenario. I think warfare is moving in the direction of smaller and satellite wars. So, more warfare on a smaller scale is what I predict.

I think it will more likely be a combination of things that bring the world as we know it to an end. Rising sea levels, droughts in some places, floods in others leading to mass migration.

The rich getting so rich the poor won't take it anymore. A world economy built on debt only works if people are willing to pay it back, what happens if everyone defaults?

A break down of civil order could cause multiple civil wars around the world.

Lots of likely chance scenarios on here, AI would definitely be up there but being honest I think we'll manage our own demise before AI gets a chance.

There's good evidence to support the idea that human extinction may come within 14-24 years time from just climate change, the real real tragedy for it is well probably take most of the other species with us.

If we were really the "intelligent" ape I'd argue the decent thing to do, would be to realise our own demise as a species is pretty much upon us and we should do everything to give the other species at least a chance at life!

Potentially somewhere like Syria. We had Russians and Americans in a small concentrated area and the likelihood of something small starting and kicking it all off was quite high. Most wars are started by something small then escalate very quickly. North Korea is also a potential area

WWIII nearly started a few years ago, certain UK troops were pulled from Afghan. to re-train for an "threatened" N. Korean offensive, luckily things settled down but it was close.

By the way - Jihad in any way is completely wrong anyway because it's "holy war" which is a bit unnecessary don't you think?

Why can't Islam just accept other religions and try to live peacfully alongside them?

Why did muslims create the concept of "Jihad"?

Why did they create the concept of holy war and use it against others simply because their religion tells them they should?

Do you actually think "Jihad/holy war" is in any way a good thing?

Because I personally don't think launching a holy war against others can be good in any way..

I personally believe in live and let live..
