Rarely, although sometimes there as some serious topics which need to be taken seriously and responses shouldn't be flippant or belittling, but I prefer to stay away from threads which end up turning into a bitch fest or people just being mean, I don't involve myself in that kind of thing in the real world and I certainly have no interest in doing so on Fab.
I prefer to feel the happy and spread some smiles where I can |

I do think some people take it too seriously, and are quite defensive at times as they think the forums are their own personal domains. Personally, I prefer the light-hearted nature of the forums and don't want to be sucked into the more serious/political aspect |

I generally stick to the non contentious issues but I've seen even the most harmless threads turn nasty. I guess posting angry responses is a bit like those abusive drivers, all though behind the wheel but outside of the car the majority are all meek and mild. |

I like reading the posts on the serious ones. Some peoples opinions and lack of thought process amuse me.
I try and keep my posting to the light hearted, more flirty threads |

"It's possible to do both serious and silly.. I'm multi-functional!"
If it's an issue I want to comment on I do.
If I want to act like an arse on another thread, I do.
It's be bloody stupid for everyone to come on and start a thread about not writing on the threads they don't like.
Believe me there are loads I don't join in because they are such juvenile crap .... another day i'll start a juvenile crap one cos that's the mood i'm in.

I only post fun threads now n if they die so what the peeps on here who love me talk to me all 3 of you.
As for other threads like the one this am that hit a raw spot for me so I had to have my say so.
People who post threads just for the sake of procakation forget the feelings of others n don't see or ignore or dare I say enjoy the fact they are causing hurt.
Happy Monday fabbers oh n did i say I've a new pic up? xxx |

I definately stay away from politics.
I tend to take a step back from other threads that take a certain tone. Too much drama brings me down and life's too short for that.
Mind you, people can find an argument in the most innocent thing on here! |

I like the banter on the more contentious threads. I hate the banality of the kiss, tuck and various other fun threads ... honestly, that is not my idea of fun. Sounds like I am having an argument? No, but neither am I on the serious threads ... a discussion is fun, more fun that drive, in my book. Sometimes I think I am in the wrong place for a more intellectual debate, but I love the posters who are ready to get stuck in and out their views on the line. I dont care if I agree with them or not, they would be the ones I would meet as they would be more interesting to me. The forums are fun when contentious views are posted, who can find look at me and ego stroking fun? |

Same here. I've been avoiding the forums a bit lately because of this. It should always just be fun. Surely that's the name of the game. Things just seem to be descending into chaos way too much recently and it's really been putting me off posting. |

I enjoy posting on different sorts of threads. I quite enjoy the simple 'fuck, kiss, avoid' threads; always good for a bit of a flirt. I also enjoy the political threads to, especially the current BREXIT / BREMAIN threads. I've probably learnt more about the EU from checking out comments made on this forum than I'd ever find listening to either campaign.
I don't like the judgmental threads but still sometimes comment on them. |

I prefer the more serious threads, I enjoy an interesting debate. I dont tend to join in the 'who wants a cup of tea threads' and such like because I find it really boring. I dont post on the forum as much as I did a few years ago because of this reason.
There is no right or wrong though, we either join in or we go elsewhere, Whimsical threads seem to be popular and a lot of people get enjoyment out of it.
one things for certain, people do overreact on some contentious threads, calling for urgent assistance from the mods etc. Its only a forum discussion, its not that distressing is it?

Started off intense on the forums but slowly relaxing and now just enjoying being frivolous. Although disappointed a couple of religious jokes/references I posted were missed on the the Devils tea party thread the other night, I'll try dumbing down a bit more |

I agree, people tend to over react in a school yard manner and go running for the Admin much too quick - It's a shame some people stoop to throwing personal insults/digs too.

I guess if everyone self moderated a little and refrained from throwing out personal insults then there wouldn't be so much need for Admin/Mod intervention. It is entirely possible to have differing opinions without behaving like children. |

My pet hate is someone saying another person is stalking them, especially me ... sorry but, well, for me, its all about me ... but some people notice and note everyone's posts and assume there's a pattern to it. In my case, there isn't. I pop in, dive deep then jumps out again .... that is how I live my life and deal with anything and everything in life. |

Have to agree with this. There are some people on here who feel the need to argue with every comment made, others who lecture and patronise at every opportunity.

I used to enjoy the forums, and used to have a really good laugh and banter. However the last few weeks I have found I am mainly igno_ed.
Sometimes I really wish I could convey my humour in typing the same as I do in real life.
I am actually a very bubbly, chatty, witty person, who doesn't take life too seriously. With the exception of when I am at work, even then we have to try and be lighthearted otherwise we would all absolutely crumble under the pressure.
