I asked about a term I saw being used on another thread but have some other terminology questions I hope you will be kind enough to answer.
What is a BC thread?
What is trolling or being trolled?
What does this smiley mean and in what context should it be properly used?
Who decides on the secret unwritten codes of practice that I can't find anywhere else on the site? In other words what urban myths should you never listen to which have been bandied around so much they are thought of as correct protocol.
Many thanks. |

No idea what a BC thread is, trolling I understand is a thread deliberately started to antagonise, the big toothy smiley, I always use it, reason is that I like it and I cant be arsed to keep changing smileys to reflect my mood |

I use this one to show humour/happiness.
This one I see as laughing until I'm blue in the face (ok, it's kinda blue/turquiose)
We could do with a lot more smileys though. |

Jecheredeax,
Have you heard the one about pampas grass. Apparently it is a signal that you are swingers if you grow it in your front garden. Anyone else heard of this one and what is the significance? |

I always thought BC was Big Cock or Black Cock thread.
Grinning smiley, usually used for tongue in cheek or jokey points of view.
This one's my personal signature
Forget about swinging etiquette. The only rules that should matter to you are the one's that you want to play by.

Yeah have heard about it. I was meaning urban myths on this site about rules and regs which are obviously made up to suit the one who decided to make them. Like its wrong to PM and everyone should post anything they have to say in the open - thats a one I often hear bandied about.... |

= funny
= funny and I'd like to shag you (or I'll pretend I think it's funny, if I'm gonna get a shag)
= funny as fook (regardless of whether I'm gonna get a fook or not!) LOL |

I thought that was the myth in the 70's.
I think it came from the stereotype of the people who would be wife swapping with car keys in a bowl. |

We actually do have pampas grass!Didn't plant it though.
Trolling is deliberatly antagonising,or starting look at me threads just to watch the fight.
i use to denote a joke or certain hee hee quality that might not be obvious in the written word.
Oh and tiger bread is compulsory, thats not a myth. |

I'm the proud owner of a clump of pampas grass, its in my side garden. The last houseowner had planted it, but I like it, so while I renovate the garden around it, its staying put!
I may even upload a pic of myself lounging by it. More proof of that I'm a genuine swinger than any verification! |
