Is this where the hurt ends?
Smoke, candles being lit
Such energy
Experience
But ageing
Beautifully delivered
How many times have you sat down in that favourite armchair of yours?
I think that is the big question
Is it going to be delightfully different this time
But for all the pressure
Accidents can happen
And this one's not won yet
By any means
Breakthrough
Or the same old same old
Time stood still there for a moment
Nearly
So nearly
A sultry evening
A new England
Another new England

...and thus, those tender words, of
Passion and desire, that foist love and
Belonging, should have to pass thine highest
Test...to be spokeneth only by the one and only, supreme commentator being, Mr Tyldessley, though I doubtest I have spelt thine name correctly.
It's a poem of two halves. |
