I have always thought he was a decent guy
in saying that I did listen to Jeremy Vine - radio2 last week and here the conversation about him quoting that a cancer sufferer's "negative attitude" could have brought on his cancer
thought this was a bit "off"

I heard his radio interview and taken in context his opinion wasn't that out outrageous. An expert in the field (a doctor) did agree that the positive outlook that Edmonds was talking about did help recovery. The one tweet reported was taken out of context |

Although I'm not a subscriber to the whole "Mindfulness/Spirituality" way of thinking to which Noel is referring, it is universally accepted that STRESS is a big contributor to many health issues.
It's also a fact that if you hold a positive outlook to recovery, then you feel less poorly and perceive that you suffer less and recover quick. I would expect that this is nothing to do with "Positive Energies" but more to do with not letting an illness stop you from doing things, meaning that you're distracted and not thinking about the pain/discomfort. Obviously, if you sit and think about your pain and discomfort then you're more aware of it and it feels worse.
If any of that makes sense.

Thanks for that. I'm not a fan of his but i've never beaten someone up because of that. I tend to look at the action rather than the person.
I assumed when I saw the headline news ( must have been a bad news week ) that it had been blown out of all proportion.
People tend to mock what they don't understand or lack the capacity to consider.
That said...... he's a total wanker full stop. |

20 odd years ago at the height of Noel's house party crap, the company I worked for were involved in some corporate sponsorship. For those directly involved it became very apparent very quickly that the nice guy persona was purely an act. Vile man.

He has always seemed a decent chap although I've still not forgiven him for inflicting Mr Blobby on the world!

I honestly have absolutely no idea why people dislike him. I didn't hear the radio interview people are referring to on here but the dislike of Noel Edmonds seems to go back years. Did he do something awful that I am unaware of? Maybe I am naive.

Point of information, he was originally commenting on his own battle with cancer and how HE dealt with it.
You want to criticise him and call him an idiot for what was allegedly said and taken out of context in two conversations that you didn't see or hear?
I read the transcript of one and heard the other. He made valid observations about general well being.
I would advise anyone to stick to the facts and not the tabloid headlines. |
