What is a "Real" man?

A quick glance on the mirror this morning to check the progress of my 6 pack (about 3.5!) made me wonder what people considered to be a "Real" man?
Is it the buff toned muscle man who spends all his time in the gym?
The misogynist who treats women as if they are dirt and to be used?
The hard working family man who slaves to provide for his family?
The man capable of admitting his fears of redundancy or his desires to share his wife?
Are any of these, or indeed ALL of these "Real" men? |

someone with a pulse 
someone who is all of those things.. due to a current situation id say a real man is someone who steps up to responsibilities.. eg, any man can be a sperm doner, takes a 'real' man to be a dad

A real man to me is a guy that finds beauty in everything he sees, has a vast collection of Fez's and would kill a Frenchman without missing a heart beat.
A real man to me is a guy who knows how to high five, a guy that lives every day to be AWESOME, a guy that knows the 'bro code' off by heart.
But most of all a real man to me is a man who can braid his back hair. |

A real man to me is someone who is independent, self sufficient, not afraid to ask for help or express his feelings & emotions, someone who can provide if necessary. Someone who can accept liability and responsibilities.
He would be trustworthy, opinionated (but not narrow minded), ambitious and intelligent.
Im sure theres lot's ive missed out too |

If i was looking for a man to date/eventually settle down with.. id guess this would be a description to some degree of what id want in an ideal world. If people just settled for the first person to come along and weren't truly happy we'd be constantly on the look out for someone 'better' to come along.
Oh he'd have to be loving and caring too :D - and faithful :D |

A real man is whatever you want him to be, or better yet whatever he wants to be.
He can be a thoughtless SOB who does nothing all day and eats nits from his pubes to make himself better cause he can't get it up, doesn't make him less of a man.

"I tell what real man is guy who would take on another mans family bring them up and be there for them and when they have kids be a good grandparent thats real man not run off and leave your kids 
i like this answer must take a hell of a lot for another man to take on someone elses child as his own I don't like the answer "

any man who pulls on a uniform and is willing to lay his life down for his mates , when the shit hits the fan on a tour , simply cos they are his mates and he knows they would do the same for him |
