Who loves it, who hates it. Do you like to have a golden glow in the summer or remain pale and interesting.
Many moons ago I used to be obsessed with fake tanning. I am naturally pale skinned and whilst I didnt ever tan to a dark deep shade, as that would have looked too unnatural for me, I did like to have a bit of colour.
I have recently revisted this pastime and have just tried out a gorgeous tan; Vita Liberata and for the first time in years I am golden again. The tan goes on really easily, absolutely no smell whatsoever, no streaks and a natural colour.
My fake tans of choice are Vita Liberato, I love it, but also old favourites St Tropez and Fake Bake.
Fake tanning is not as easy as it looks, I expect most of us have had some disasters, I have gone orange, gone very streaky, used tans that smelt awful and also dark patches around the ankles and knees. Thankfully after lots of practice Im pretty good at putting it on.
Do you use fake tan, what product recommendations do you have, what product is best to avoid, have you any tips for smooth application etc, and are there any guys who will admit to using it |

Tried fake tan creams and hated them! Too easy to have a disaster. I know I'll be criticised but I use sunbeds with an accelerator cream once a week. I love having a nice bit of colour. |

I use sun beds too, not often and not for long but I still suffer with eczema occasionally and it works wonders with getting shot of a small patch before it becomes problematic.
Otherwise though I like the Palmers cocoa butter gradual tanning moisturiser which doesn't aggravate my skin but I'm otherwise limited to what I can use. |

I have been on sunbeds too, but I only really had a few sessions on them before a holiday. But at least you know you are going to get an even tan because a badly applied fake tan does look horrendous.
I usually go with the idea that the more expensive, the better the tan. Ive tended to stick to the £30 a bottle range but a friend of mine has tried St Moritz which is really cheap and she was really pleased with the results. The tan looked good too. |
