What's the worst pain you have had women may say labour where as men might say a paper cut. Mine has just been bending my thumb back today still hurting now when I pick my pen up. |

I always thought the worst pain was toothache / earache... But that is delightful compared to the agony caused by a gastric ulcer. That is completely debilitating to me and hands down is something I attempt to avoid aggravating at all costs.

Took both barrels from a 600kg horse in the forearm, compound facture of radius and ulna, bone poking out, hand flopping about on the end - you have no idea of the agony that bugger was until it was properly immobilised. |

For me I find it unbearable when a person has way too much to say for him/herself.
Although not physical pain of course it is still completely unbearable - I think it comes down to some people "missing a few important filters".
You know - we all know someone like that - someone that's constantly opiniated simply for the sake of having an opinion! |

Gallstones, Sciatic back pain and labour.
I do have a very low pain threshold though. I'd be useless at BDSM!
When I had the sweep for my second baby, who was too comfy, the midwife gave me a really rough internal that hurt and then did the sweep. She's lucky I didn't kick her!!! |

I had a infected root on a wisdom tooth once - seriously agonising as it was directly on the nerve. I took a ridiculous amount of dihydracodeine, codeine, pregablin (nerve pain relief meds) and tramadol aswell as just paracetamol and ibuprofen washed down with brandy (NOT RECOMMENDED!) as I was desperate and in agony and they didn't help.
They did finally however wipe me out so I slept a little - thankfully! |

Was told to stay away from high fat food because it can make you do number 2's a bit too often but otherwise yes. Surgeon said to be careful as people tend to put on a bit of weight after having them out as they go crazy eating food they couldn't tolerate before, but I didn't have any problems and I've not put weight on, it's stayed the same. |

Got beat to fuck by a gang of skinheads once (coz I had non white friends)
Beat the holy shit out of me with bats and lumps of wood, concussion, many bruises and serious kicking to the bollox. But having my elbow smashed to pieces really fucking hurt.
Racist turds.
But when I was a kid riding my bike in the summer with just teeny 70's nylon shorts I accidentally crashed into a ditch six foot deep full top to bottom nettles.
I was literally stung head to head toe.
Whole body was just one mass of stings.

All of the pains described sound pretty awful and all the sufferers have my sympathy but I'm convinced that the reason no one has mentioned the truly terrible worst pain ever is because no one can even bear to see the words written down,,,,I refer,of course, to the pain felt when your fingertips have been frozen and they start to thaw out.

When I came off my scooter on black ice and the whole thing landed on my right knee, that kind of hurt. It swelled to twice the size and I thought I'd broken my knee, luckily I'd just caused several cartilage tears |

This happened to me 6 weeks ago....Kidney stones, one of which had become trapped in the penis when I'd gone to the loo!
I couldn't find any position in which to relieve the pain. I was in utter agony and it took the hospital 4 hours to get my pain relief under control! The ambulance taking me to hospital didn't need a siren, ss my screams could be heard miles away! |

Male here - , can't remember the medical name for it - but had an abcess on my arse caused by an ingrowing hair. Was sent to hosp to have it lanced but it burst while I waited, dr then rammed his finger into the hole to clean it out, then had district nurses coming for 8 weeks to pack the hole that was left as it had to heal from inside outwards |

"I always thought the worst pain was toothache / earache... But that is delightful compared to the agony caused by a gastric ulcer. That is completely debilitating to me and hands down is something I attempt to avoid aggravating at all costs.

After a natural birth and three cesareans I'd still say toothache/earache trumped them. |

Testicular torsion it's like getting kicked in the nuts really hard, but instead of that stomach churning pain fading, it just increases until it gets untwisted. Just recalling this is making me feel queezy and it was over 20 years ago.
Apparently if they don't get straightened in time, they have to come off |

Oh my god! I am so sorry, and I feel your pain! I had to have one a few years ago and thought I would be ok but I was so wrong. I cried so much my face was just one spotty mess and I was so embarrassed that other people on the ward were having chemo for cancer and I was just having that but, jesus, the pain and mine went fairly smoothly. They said a couple of months ago I might need another so I told them to fuck off |

I had a 12 hour surgery to remove my lung in which my arm was raised above my head for the entire time, the pain in my shoulder when I came round was excruciating! I couldn't move!
That and gall stones, I've always said I would rather give birth again than have a gall bladder attack! And I've given birth twice, once with gas and air and once with just two paracetamol in me!
Top lip threading is a bitch too someone else said! At least that's only a few minutes!

Getting stung by a lionfish whilst swimming in the sea in the Maldives. I thought I had been electrocuted or had my hand sliced off, so when I looked and saw an unidentifiable fish by a floating rope, I knew I could be in serious trouble. I swam as fast as I could and raced to the bungalow to identify from the book I had and identified it as a lionfish.
Meanwhile, the pain was so intense, I thought I was going to die. There wasn't a doctor on the island but I was told to put my hand under the hot tap which would help slow the protein, like cooking the white of an egg. If the pain continued to the top of my arm, the heart would be next, so I really was lucky that near boiling water did help to slow it enough to stop travelling further. The pain was indescribable though. |

I do have a very low pain threshold though. I'd be useless at BDSM!
When I had the sweep for my second baby, who was too comfy, the midwife gave me a really rough internal that hurt and then did the sweep. She's lucky I didn't kick her!!! "
I was going to say, although a shorter amount of time, I found the sweeps and cervical examinations worse than labour, lol.

A few years ago I had an infection under a pocelain crown, my face looked like I was sucking a massive gobstooper it was so swollen, the dentist was fab until he had to inject me where the infection was, the pain made my eyes water like never before, then he had to drill throught the crown to let the infection out and to clean it, I had to go a few days later so he cold crack the crown to remove it and do a root canal treatment, the worst experience I have ever had at the dentist and the worst pain ever for me |

Short term, 30 minute leg cramp and muscle spasm episode- I've got pretty big thigh muscles so it felt like a never ending period of a knife sticking in and being twisted round.
For physical damage, car accident that caused pretty severe facial trauma and pretty much pushed my eyeball out of the side of my face for a week until the swelling subsided. It also ripped my thumb out of the socket and twisted it 90 degrees, but that was a minor issue compared to a he head injury. |

Had an unlicensed/insured driver turn right in front of me 30 years ago. Cut the front off her car with my bike, broke my ankle and back when I hit the road. The pain was so bad my bladder emptied with the second wave of pain and bowels emptied with the third before my body shut down. Then the ambulance arrived and insisted on giving me gas and air that managed to turn the pain back on again! |

Sympathies for the lego firewalk, shingles, root canal, childbirth etc (mine was horrendous)
The worst pain ever is a condition called Trigeminal Neuralgia..aka the suicide disease I was diagnosed last august but it's currently in remission..
Painkillers dont work. Not even morphine. Anti epilepsy drugs help but the side effects are a living hell and include numbing ALL sensation so yea sex is a party your body has but you're not invited to.
Imagine this
Your teeth are all drilled open then..
someone gives you crushed ice wrapped in tinfoil to chew..
then they pop the cold air blower thingy in your mouth...
and a cable into your ear and eye...
and flip the switch
Yes, that :'-( |

For me I find it unbearable when a person has way too much to say for him/herself.
Although not physical pain of course it is still completely unbearable - I think it comes down to some people "missing a few important filters".
You know - we all know someone like that - someone that's constantly opiniated simply for the sake of having an opinion!"
absolutely ..unless it's in an accent then I can listen to an opinionated person all day long |

Labour.
I'd had a tooth which had abscessed, and no painkillers touched it. It was excrutiating, never known pain like it. Really bad.
When I had kids, labour was like that, but the pain was as intense as an abscessed tooth but covering as bigger part of me. It started from the base of my ribs all the way down to my knees in that level of intense pain.
It was a 5 hour labour, apparently the quick ones hurt more?
And I did it only on gas and air, and for half of the time I'd been dumped in a room, my husband hadn't turned up yet so I was on my own and no one explained how to use the gas and air so I had no pain relief at all. I remember just lying there and screaming for a couple of hours.
And then I had a tear so after the birth they stitched it up, but didn't anaesthetise the area. I had to use all my willpower not to kick him across the room. Just use gas and air they said. Fuck off.
Yeah, that was fun. Not doing that again. |
