Depends how you wanna play it 
Though a personal bug bear of mine is when somebody messages me with a comment that they could have easily posted on the forums but they do it just to try to start a conversation in private. |

I had a forum user follow me around giving me hassle for no reason so I reported them numerous times - yet they kept doing it so I contacted them to ask them to stop giving me hassle for no reason and to let them know I had reported them over their poor behaviour and the psycho responded by telling me they were going to report me!
