A friend received a really distasteful message from someone today. Paedophilic incest was the theme from an elderly 'gentleman'
He stated in his profile that he had received messages from 15 year olds on here too.
He has been reported yet is still active on here. I'm kinda concerned a) that he's still.active b) that it seemed so much more than fantasy and c) his profile text. |

We had a guy wanting to dominate our whole family....kids the lot....thought he was joking till he started going into details. ...some sick people out there...hope he gets help x |

To all those so quick to suggest they want to dish out some retribution on the person mentioned perhaps bear this in mind.
It's just as likely that the OP has made this up as it that they haven't.
Now I'm sure the OP didn't and that they are honest and decent and will be horrified that I might suggest they would do so and people will want to shout me down for suggesting that any decent person would make up such a thing but the fact is, People do.
In reality, there are a lot more bull shitters in the world than peadophiles so unless you know it to be an absolute fact your on some very dodgy ground when you start suggesting you would meet out on vengeance based entirely on what someone on a forum tells you!!!

If your friend has reported and you've reported his profile I'm sure it will be dealt with eventually. In the meantime most people will be as disgusted as you are and won't respond. I also think it likely that if he has received messages from 15 year olds they aren't really 15 year olds at all. |

I can assure you I haven't made it up. I have no reason to. If I were giving out his name and allowing people to go say all kinds to him then I would see a point to me doing so. A spurred person I assume assume is what you're getting at or someone with a grudge. However I am not doing so. There are clearly people who are happy to say this kind of stuff on here as there is anywhere else on the Web.
I am not going to shout you down for suggesting it as it's a perfectly valid point and has been done by people in the past elsewhere. But my concerns remain which was the reason for posting.
My friend is not alone in receiving this kind of message as another poster has said. It is often said that forum users make up a minority of people on this site so it makes you wonder how many people do get this kind of message and we do not know if it. I know she does not use them. Hence my reason for bringing it here. |

My comment is not so much toward yourself as I can fully apreciate your angst and desire to communicate it.
It's intended as a "reality check" for the pitchfork brigade who, if not here yet, will be along very shortly.
I remember the story a few years ago of a Doctor beaten almost to death after a rumour went round the local council estate that a Pediatrician had moved in to the area!

Perhaps a little harsh on the OP
But I tend to agree.
There is also nothing more distasteful than a bunch of self-righteous people on some sort of vigilante hunt to meet out rough justice on unproven comments. |
