If it's a cremation....Smoke Gets In Your Eyes!!

Actually not at a funeral but can remember being at White Hart Lane many years ago when at half time they played a song in memory of a guy who'd been killed in a motorbike accident....the song? Road To Hell by Chris Rea!!

There was an audible wince from the crowd when that started. Next home game there was a small piece in the programme explaining it had been the guy's favourite song of all time.

Back where I belong

My husbands favourite songs which he wanted played at his funeral were ' girls just wanna have fun' and 'sex on the beach', sadly I allowed my sons to over rule their fathers wish - would love to have seen the look on peoples faces.

My husband was well known for his inappropriate sense of humour lol xx

My mum's cousin died in a car crash when she was only 16 & Bat Out Of Hell by Meatloaf was played at her funeral. Kind of inappropriate but apparently it was her favourite song.

We played, roll me up and smoke me when i die by Willie nelson, for my dad at his funeral, it seems inappropriate but it's a brilliant song with an ace message within it, plus he always used say just ' roll me up and smoke me' bless his cottons, I miss him Mrs blue eyes

Smoke gets in your Eyes by The Platters. My gran told us all in the funeral car on the way back from my grandad 'a cremation that it was his favourite song and we should have had it. I think she was trying to make us all smile and it worked, bless her.

Used to play a game with my sister when we were on long journeys to do inappropriate songs for funerals based on the cause of death.

My favourite was The Tide Is High for tsunami ..... This was before the mega tsunami so I wasn't being insensitive to those that died
