The streets of east London & Tottenham come alive when the sun goes down. |

I always note a rise in grumpiness in some of my Muslim friends and colleagues during Ramadan. There's one or two worth staying out of the way of in late afternoon |

"This is just one of many reasons I can't be dealing with religion "
Last year my youngest came home from school begging not to be "one of them".
I didn't have a clue what he meant until he said "they don't eat during daylight. I'd starve!!!"
He was the same with Diwali - kept turning out lights & wanting to light candles.
I like that he listens, learns & takes an interest even though we're not very religious ourselves |

Aw, that's lovely! Probably indicates that he'll grow into an accepting & well rounded adult as well |

Ramadan isn't only about fasting. You are encouraged to be charitable to your neighbours and include them in your celebrations. |

"First day is always the worst
Have you seen the timings for this week???
No food or drink after 2.46 am until 9.46pm or something like that for today.
21st will be really difficult I imagine "
The timings this year are fierce, aren't they, as we head towards the solstice.
Peace to all of you fasting this Ramadan.

Even the exams boards have given it thought when time-tabling certain subjects. |
