Everyone seems to be getting hot tubs but if I had a spare £2500 or £5000 what ever they cost I think I would find a better use for it what do you think ??? |

"For the 2 weeks of the year that you're able to use them in this country?
It's your money..."
Exactly and I understand people can spend their money how ever they won't I just don't get why you would spend it on a hot tub |

Why would you only be able to use it for two weeks of the year? |

You spend your money how you want and let others do the same. That's what I think. |

Yeah my neighbour has one unfortunately, listening to their racket until the early hours is slightly irritating when they're in it,also when they empty it the contents come into my garden as well as their crap as we're on a slight slope |

Have a roof over it. And why the hell would anyone want to sit in a hot tub when it's a hot day. Being in one on a cold day is so much nicer |

It's a hot tub. Hot being the obvious word. If it's not raining it's for pretty much any other day.
I'm trying to persuade the missus to get one.
So much fun. |

I never thought I'd want one, but....
After sitting in the hot tub at my in laws' house in Colorado, below 0 degree Farenheight, snow coming down, stars twinkling above...feeling the snowflakes land on my nose but melt before they reached the water, having the jets on and just relaxing in the warms of a cold winter night...
I dunno, I'll consider it when I get a house of my own. |

Don't they empty down the drain? If not have a word with them maybe be leaning on a garden fork while you do |

Hot tubs are for colder weather not hot weather?
The whole idea of a hot tub is to get in when the outside temperature is chilly.
I love them on a cool or cold evening. They are great for relaxing in.
I imagine thats why the hot springs in Iceland are so popular. |

An ex's parents have one.
They used to live in a little village and he & I would often unwind with a glass of something in there late in the evening, with a clear sky full of stars above us... heaven |

I doubt I'd consider jumping into a communal one either eeewwww
But just me and a significant other is ideal for me |

I think that's what filters are for?? But yes, I would not want to use some of the hot tubs in clubs |

That's what I mean really,a tub where you don't know how many bodies has been in it. I go to the swimming bath's though don't suppose that's any different. Although do you need to shower first before you get in a hot tub in a club,I presume and would hope so?! |

Its on our shopping list!
Don't see the problem with them, can use them all year round (if covered) and they have a filter which constantly recirculates clean water.
Although apparently it's the modern day pampas grass! |

If I were to have one I'd prefer to install it in a cabin, that reduces noise pollution and, although we get on well with our neighbours, I'd rather be out of sight.
Having said that.. I've used one under the stars on a frosty winter evening, gorgeous!

I have one. Had it for years. Costs bugger all to run in real terms and gets used all year round. The whole point is it's sat at 37c so if you're submerged who cares what the weather is like.
Great way to relax. Great thing for child to play in and much fun to watch the stars from.
Yes pricey things but I enjoy mine. |

Rubbish. We are on our second hot tub in 8 years and it gets used three to four times a week every week of the year and depending on the season and the time of the day that you use it, the experience is completely different.
Suggest that those interested listen to people who actually have and use their hot tubs rather than people who spout uninformed nonsense. |

I don't own one, but I was staying in snowdonia at the start of February and we used an outdoor hot tub everyday. Great after a day walking in the mountains.
But the novelty would probably wear off. |
